The Hellenic Inter-branch Cotton Organization's actions to support the product: We check 1% of Greek cotton, creating national cotton quality file accessible to all buyers ( ELGO-DEMETER ). We check the varieties (produced & cultivated) in Greece, to find the best varieties (yield & quality) to propose the producers to cultivate them ( ELGO-DEMETER ). The Association of Hellenic Seed Producers supports this action. We control the impurities in seed cotton. We collect and unify all the info's about Greek cotton on a website! We inform producers to take correct decisions (agricultural & commercial) We are moving towards to create a single Cotton Label, highlighting its quality characteristics and production identity, which will lead to an increase in the commercial price of Ginned Cotton.
