General Information Course Objective The Refresher course objective is to brush up the know-how of aircraft maintenance technicians already holding a type certificate issued by Airbus Helicopters. The Avionics Refresher course updates knowledge and proficiency to operate aircraft with a high level of safety and great efficiency. Pre-requisites A. Language The English level of the training course is equivalent to: Test of English for international communication TOEIC : score 605-780 or BULATS: score 44-59 or equivalent. The minimum recommended score to understand this course is: TOEIC : score 405-600 or BULATS: score 36-39 or equivalent. Being able to read, write and communicate using the appropriate technical vocabulary as in the helicopter maintenance documentation. A technical English test is available for all trainees, free of charge, on the AHTS Learner Portal. In case English skills of the trainee are not in accordance with here above paragraph, the training shall be performed with the presence of an interpreter and the cost of the interpreter shall be met by the customer. Course duration may increase with an extra time of 20-30%. B. Technical Knowledge The following requirements have to be met in order to register for the training: Have a basic knowledge of B2 category OR Hold an academic degree in aircraft maintenance OR Hold the certification (release to service) privilege of the grand-father law AND Hold a valid type rating on the applicable type of aircraft AND Hold technical knowledge on avionics including at least 6 months experience within the prior 24 months 3

Training Theoretical Program and Practical Program (30 hours) Course content is designed in accordance with the customer s request. Theoretical and practical instructions include the following contents: - General presentation - Technical Documentation - Structure - Dynamic system - Rotors - Electrical Power system - Hydraulic system - Landing gear - Servo controls - Flight control system - Automatic Flight Control System - Ice and Rain protection - Heating and ventilation system - Fire protection system - Fuel system - Lighting system - Air data system - Equipment and furnishing - Power Plant - Radio communication system - Navigation equipment - Recording and maintenance systems 5

Certificate Courses Certificate Evaluation A multiple choice question type examination covering theoretical knowledge will be proposed to the student. The pass mark is at least 75% per week for the theoretical knowledge examination. Certificate On successful completion of the course, trainees will be awarded an AHTS certificate. An attendance certificate is awarded to personnel who do not successfully obtain the pass mark during written examinations and/or practical training.
