Marilyn Durham - MSS #2 She was an author of works like The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing, and Dutch Uncle. Her collection contains drafts, proof sheets, corrected galleys of these two books, as well as newspaper clippings about her life and books. Kenneth McCutchan - MSS #4 The collection contains material from the 1800s to the 2000s. It contains letters written by Joseph Webb, William Erskine, and Andrew Erskine, miscellaneous WWII papers, photos, certificates, books by Mr. McCutchan, and genealogy research and family histories. Example items are: Jerry Baum Prints, Saundersville, World War II discharge papers, and World War II diary. Charles LaFollette - MSS #5 This congressman s collection contains congressional record speeches from 1943-1949, correspondence and papers. Example items are: the congressional record speech from February 2, 1943, presidential tenure speech from 1945-1946, and The Other LaFollette by Darrell E. Bigham. Example items are: 1950s Vogue Patterns, 21 framed advertisements of Ruth Kishline s Country Clothes Shop, and fashion sketches form 1970. Mesker Steel Inc. - MSS #40 Contains catalogs of store fronts from 1890-1910. This collection is from the miscellaneous MSS box. Mead Johnson - MSS #41 Contains materials from 1950s-1990s. The collection consists of a variety of product samples, annual reports, price lists, Dr. Mead Johnson speeches, and correspondences. Example items are: Powder Protein Milk, Emfamil package, Rice Cereal, Cod Liver Oil, and Smurf Vitamins from the 1950s-1990s. Helen Wallace - MSS #56 This collection consists of art work and papers of Mt. Carmel, Illinois artist and teacher Helen Wallace. After graduating from the Chicago Art Institute, Miss Wallace worked as an artist in the advertising department of the Chicago Herald and Examiner during the 1920s. Later she taught art in the native Mt. Carmel. Example items are: Owl pencil sketch, cut-out silhouettes, Interpretations of the cinema: A Kiss for Cinderella-1925 and Stella Dallas-1925. Burch Plow Works, Inc. - MSS #76 This collection contains a history of the Burch and Blount companies 1965, inventory of the Burch, Inc. archival records, biographical notes, Burch and Blount families Xerox copies, Blount Co. Catalog No.73, supplement to Evansville Courier and Press August 15, 1965, and various clippings from 1977-1978. There are also five photographs from 1900, 1917, and undated ones. catalog, black and white photograph of May Day employees dinner, May 1, 1917, and a black and white photograph of Blount riding cultivator attached to earliest marketed tractor in the early 1900s. Indiana Furniture Co. - MSS #103 This collection contains time books of cabinet makers, cabinet room, and varnishers. These books date from 1883-1927. Example items are: time book of varnishers from November 24, 1923 December 2, 1927, a notice sent to a customer before the opening of the Spring buying period of Samuel J. Shimer and Sons, Milton, PA, and a cabinet room time book from September 9, 1911 May 5, 1913. Sebastian Hendrich - MSS #166 It contains excerpts from History of Vanderburgh County, letters, statements from Schultze, Waltman, and Co., and Catholic Education information from Evansville. Example items are: letters to Johannes Henrich from July 18, 1842 and August 12, 1849; Catholic Education in Evansville information, and an excerpt of the History of Vanderburgh County. This collection is from the miscellaneous MSS box. Albert A. Woll - MSS #172 This collection includes the minutes from the Board of Trustees when Mr. Woll served as a member for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. He was also president of the Board in 1970. The collection has proposals and correspondences of the Indiana School Boards Association as well as materials from the Evansville Teachers Association. Some of the material gathered while Mr. Woll served on the Board of Trustees for Indiana State University was added to the University Archives, but his personal correspondences and books are included in this collection. Example items are: Memo to a College Trustee by Beardsley Ruml 1959, ISUE Campus Operation budget Request 1985-1987, 1984 Compensation and Benefits Survey of College and University Chief Executive Officers, and EVSC publication This is Our Story program from 1970.

Louis Puster - MSS #178 This collection contains documents collected by Captain Louis Puster of Company K, 21 st Regiment of the Missouri Infantry Volunteers. Captain Puster was in charge of the clothing and equipment for his company. Many of the documents are invoices from the United State Army stores and correspondences concerning the location of deceased soldiers and their personal belongings. There is also a strongbox which was probably used for receipts and money. This was all donated by Dr. Darrell Bigham. There are also statements included from the actual Business Department of Evansville Commerical College, 1880. Example items are: a January 21, 1865 special orders no.1 invoice, April 20, 1865 Civil War letter from Louis Puster, bullet caps from the Civil War, Union General Playing Cards, and quiz cards of major battles and campaigns of the Civil War. Brad Awe - MSS #184 This collection contains slides of Evansville, Indiana business and landmarks, collected by the Landmark Consulting Services, Inc. Mr. Brad Awe has donated these 1,566 slides. 136 of the slides belong to a program produced by Brad Awe entitled, Evansville: The Industrial Evolution, Spring 1978. There is a script accompanying this presentation. Example items are: Hammond Portfolio slides, Evansville Slides, and Slides of Evansville Businesses and Landmarks. Monastery of St. Clare - MSS #242 This collection consists of printing blocks, stamps, typeset, and bookplates used for publishing some of the Monastery of St. Clare materials, such as the Princess of Poverty, music and ceremonials printed in 1924, and Mother Maddalena leaflets. Also included is the monastery in Evansville, the monastery in Omaha: the first house of the Poor Clares in New Orleans, Mother Maddalena s signature Diamond Jubilee booklets, the Bishop of Indianapolis (Rt. Rev. F.S. Chatard), and Christmas and Easter card cuts. Example items are: 1920s printing blocks of the Virgin Mary statue, Pope John Paul, and one saying Happy Christmas, Glad New Year.

Don Blair - MSS #247 This collection contains glass plate negatives, silver nitrate flexi film negatives, and photographs. The photographs are of places in New Harmony, IN; Griffin, IN; Posey County, IN; White County, IL; and Posey County, IN. Example items are: photographs from Homer Fauntleroy residence, Harmony Way Bridge construction channel span, and Rapp-Maclure-Owen Home. Evansville Shipyard - MSS #257 This collection contains an pictorial history of the Evansville Shipyard, shipyard data, and articles about the Evansville Shipyard. Example items are: Evansville Shipyard Launchings, Broom Raisings, Commissioning Data from June 1945 and an article from the Chicago Sun from January 29, 1944 about the Evansville Shipyard. Thomas Mueller - MSS #264 This collection contains glass plate negatives, silver nitrate flexi film negatives, and photographs. Flood of 1937 - MSS #272 This collection contains glass plates, slides of photographs from the personal scrapbook of Karl Kae Knecht, contact sheets and negatives from Rose Borries, Orville Blaser, Jay Fredrich, Michael Homrick, Ray Lutterbach, Clara McClary, Owensboro Davis Co. Library, Ray Peck, Leonard Schlamp, Otto Schroeder, and Tim Tully. There are also miscellaneous donor and photograph contact sheets and negatives, duplicate slides in carousel from Karl Kae Knecht, and scrapbooks, plaques, and mounted photographs of Hotel McCurdy. Example items are: flood photos exhibited outside the University Archives and Special Collections Department, photo of Ira Osborn cleaning up the muck and filth from the flood on February 11, 1937, and a slide viewing Main Street covered in flood water. Harmonists Papers - MSS #295 Contains letters from 1820-1892, drawing of a church, and miscellaneous papers. Example items are: Economy and Its Crafts by John Ramsey, a price list from 1903 of Economy Wines, and a letter from L. Gex Co. to George Rapp- September 30, 1834. This collection is from the miscellaneous MSS box. John McCutchan - MSS #131 This collection contains miscellaneous items, correspondences, newspaper clippings, and ISUE Foundation items. Example items are: Evansville Campus Committee Report Senate Concurrent Resolution Number 8, Introducing the Donor Recognition Program from the Indiana State University Evansville, Foundation booklet, and an old pamphlet titled Books to build a University, from 1971.
