Outstanding Results, February 2015 International Visitors to Mexico (Banxico) According to Banco de México, the number of international tourists traveling to Mexico surpassed 5.1 million in the two-month period of 2015, a new record high for any similar period. The incoming of foreign currency from international visitors to Mexico in January-February of 2015 also was a high record, totaling 3,094 million dollars. During January-February of 2015 the tourism balance was positive, totaling 1,565 million dollars; number higher than the record achieved in any similar period in a year. International visitors increased 11.4% in comparison to January-February of 2014, reaching 14.2 million of visitors. Hotel Activity Domestic tourism The percentage of hotel occupation in a group of 70 resorts was 2.38 percentage points higher in comparison to their occupation in January- February of 2014, reaching 57.69%. The arrival of domestic tourists to hotel rooms in these 70 resorts during January-February of 2015, was more than 7.3 million people, being 7.0% higher than the number reached in 2014 during the same period. 1

Air Transportation The arrival of passengers by plane increased 8.2% in the two-month period of 2015 in comparison to the arrivals during the same period of 2014, reaching 8.4 million of air plane passengers. The arrival of passengers on domestic flights exceeded 5.1 million people; this is an increase of 8.8% in comparison to January-February of 2014. Also, the number of domestic flights increased 6.9%. 3.2 million of passengers were recorded on international flights, which is an increase of 7.3% in comparison to January-February of 2014. This result was accompanied by a higher number of international flights seen in the same period (8.0%). As for the number of people arriving by plane to Mexico by nationality, it was recorded during January-February of 2015 that: Americans were the major group representing 51.1% of the total of air arrivals followed by Canadians with 20.8%; as for people arriving from Latin America and the Caribbean, Brazilians stand out for having reached 2.6% increase of all arrivals. Maritime Transportation The ports that received the highest number of cruise passengers during January-February of 2015 were the following: Cozumel (729,867), Majahual (156,395) and Ensenada (116,388); Majahual highlighted having an increase of 50.2% in comparison to the same period of 2014. Thus, the total of arrivals increased 18.1% during the same period. 2

Foreign currency from international tourists increased 13.6% during the same period, exceeding 2,763 million dollars. For the same period, the most meaningful expenditure of long-stay tourists was made by those arriving by air totaling 2,536.9 million dollars, out of the 2,638.5 million dollars of all the long-stay tourism. Main Airports In the two-month period of 2015, the airports that received the most international passengers were: Cancun (1,236,360), México City (953,891), Puerto Vallarta (299,370), Guadalajara (223,775) and Los Cabos (205,787); which represents 87.2% of all passengers.
