About Our Speakers Tim Lord President Dun & Bradstreet Australia and New Zealand Tim Lord was appointed President of Dun & Bradstreet in Australia and New Zealand in July 2011. Tim is responsible for the operational performance of the D&B business and for driving the company s future growth agenda. In over 20 years with D&B, Tim has gained considerable experience in a range of sales, operations and general management roles including, General Manager New South Wales, State Manager Queensland and Collections Manager Victoria & South Australia. Most recently, Tim oversaw the company s collections team as the Director of Receivables Management Services. The division has over 400,000 files under management across a range of industry sectors including, banking and finance, telecommunications, utilities and government. During this time, Tim also had oversight responsibilities for management of D&B s Melbourne call centre with more than 200 collection agents. Prior to joining D&B, Tim held a number of credit management roles, including Arthur Andersen s UK insolvency practice. Tim is an active participant in industry affairs, and is currently the Collections Chair for the Australian Institute of Mercantile Agents, and a founding Director of the Australian Collectors and Debt Buyers Association. Kevin Panozza Chief Executive Officer, Engagement Matters Kevin Panozza founded SalesForce in partnership with advertising agency DDB in 1994 and built it into the most successful, outsourced sales and customer service business in Australia and NZ. A dynamic, entertaining and impactful presenter, Kevin uses his lifetime of experience and passion for creating stimulating work environments to help other organizations create positive change aimed at engaging staff and enhancing performance. As Managing Director of SalesForce Kevin established a team that achieved very strong revenue growth, consistent profit growth, and organisational stability in a small, very competitive market. During his time with the company, SalesForce achieved a global reputation for deploying emerging technologies, and new techniques for customer sales and service. Kevin s strong personal convictions about creating stimulating work environments and empowering cultures resulted in SalesForce being voted Best Employer in Australia and New Zealand in the Hewitt Bi-annual survey 2004, 2005 and 2007 the first time any Australian company has been honoured with three consecutive awards. SalesForce was recognised in 2007 amongst the top half dozen employers in Asia. Today SalesForce provides more than 60 national and international companies, with selling and customer service solutions. The company employs over 2,500 contractors and staff in Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand. In 2005 SalesForce was acquired by Salmat, an ASX 200 company, and Kevin was appointed SalesForce Chief Executive Officer. In 2008, Kevin Panozza left SalesForce to found Engagement Matters. Kevin Sheedy AM AFL Coach of Greater Western Sydney, Former Coach of Essendon Kevin Sheedy, AFL Legend, was appointed as the inaugural coach of Greater Western Sydney in late 2009. A four-time premiership coach in his 27 years with Essendon and a member of the AFL Hall of Fame, Kevin Sheedy signed a three-year deal to coach the side through to its first year in competition in 2012. Kevin Sheedy has been a success as a player and coach and is without peer when it comes to engaging new communities in the game. In 1998, he broke the record for coaching more professional AFL games than anyone else in history. With a total of 886 games under his belt, he holds the AFL record for the most games combined as a player and coach. During 25 years as coach with Essendon, Sheedy coached 330 winning games, 167 losses and 5 drawn games, giving him a 66.09% win ratio. In addition, he competed in seven Grand Finals, playing premiers in 1984, 1985, 1993 & 2000, won six of the eight Night Grand Finals, and was recognised as the All Australian coach in 1985, 1993 & 2000. The club s membership increased from 15,000 to 36,000+ and much of the club s success off the field is attributed to Sheedy s unique marketing skills and personal popularity with supporters.

About Our Speakers Jodie Bedoya Director E-Matrix Training Founder and director of the Melbourne based training company E-Matrix Training, Jodie Bedoya is one of Australia s leading debt collection specialists who has worked at best practice level with major government and commercial clients. Jodie has held key executive, operational and training management roles, including CEO of Recoveries Corporation Limited. In 2006 she was a finalist in the Australian Financial review BOSS Magazines Young Executive of the Year awards. Her unique perspectives have been helping organisations make sense of the challenges they face in managing their debt collection function. Jodie s future thinking about how to realign and place renewed focus on key components required for successful credit management, provides clearer direction for businesses seeking a competitive edge. Her insights into the psychology behind debtor behaviour, combined with years of on the job coaching and leadership, has allowed E-Matrix to develop an exciting and unique training system designed specifically for organisations looking for a fresh approach to their collection strategies. Denis Nelthorpe B. Juris, LLB Long serving community lawyer, Denis Nelthorpe, is a consumer Board member of the Financial Ombudsman Service and manager of Footscray and Wyndham Legal Centres in Victoria. He is a past president of the Consumers Federation of Australia and a past CEO of the Consumer Credit Legal Service 1986-91 and the Consumer Law Centre Victoria from 1993-1998. In 2010, Denis co-ordinated a bulk negotiation of over 500 individuals referred to him from over 100 community legal centres and financial counsellors around Australia, for which he was awarded the prestigious Tim McCoy award, which recognises outstanding work in the community. Denis engaged in a co-ordinated bulk negotiation with major lenders and insurers to whom money was owed by consumers experiencing severe social and financial hardship. Denis innovative work continues to alleviate stress for disadvantaged debtors and help lenders identify debts which should not be pursued due to the disadvantage experienced by the debtor. The Hon. Jeff Kennett AC Former Premier of Victoria, Company Chairman The Hon. Jeffrey Kennett AC was an Officer in the Royal Australian Regiment, serving at home and overseas. He was a Member of the Victorian Parliament for 23 years, and was Premier of the State from 1992 to 1999. Mr Kennett has held several influential positions on the boards of corporate and not for profit organizations, including Chairman of Open Windows Australia Proprietary Limited and Amtek Corporation Pty Ltd, and Chairman of the Board of Management of PFD Food Services Pty Ltd. The Hon. Jeffrey Kennett AC was elected Leader of the Opposition in October 1982. Under his leadership, the Victorian Coalition was elected to Government on October 3, 1992, with two-to-one majorities in both Houses of Parliament - a position unparalleled in almost 140 years of responsible State Government in Victoria. In the Government s first term, Mr Kennett held the positions of Premier and Minister for Ethnic Affairs. The Coalition was returned to office at the March 30, 1996, election with a net gain in representation across both Houses of Parliament. Mr Kennett continued as Premier, as well as serving as Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Minister for the Arts. He headed the Government s peak industry organisations - the Ministerial Industry Council, Premier s Business Round Table, Victorian Communications and Multimedia Task Force and Food Victoria, and chaired the Science, Engineering and Technology Task Force. Under his Premiership, Victoria earned the reputation as Australia s most reformist government. They implemented extensive reforms of the Victorian public service, led Australia in privatisation of public authorities, reduced the State s indebtedness from $33bn to $5.5bn, reinvigorated its economy and reinstated confidence among the Victorian community. On April 22, 1998, Victoria regained its AAA credit rating from international ratings agency, Standard and Poor s. In November 1999, Mr Kennett resigned from the Victorian Parliament after 23 years service to pursue a corporate career. His leadership positions include: Chairman of Open Windows Australia Proprietary Limited Chairman of Amtek Corporation Pty Ltd Chairman of the Board of Management of PFD Food Services Pty Ltd. Director of Equity Trustees Limited and Jumbuck Entertainment Limited. Chairman of beyondblue: the national depression initiative. President of the Hawthorn Football Club.
