Depart on Air Canada flight to New Orleans at 2:35 pm. Get ready for 12 days of history, culture and sun on your New Orleans and Western Caribbean Cruise Tour. We arrive at 4:35 pm in New Orleans where we are met by our coach driver and transferred to our hotel. Remainder of the evening is on your own to relax or check out local entertainment. Saturday, November 25 th Tour and Dinner Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning is free to explore the area on your own. Browse Canal Street on your way to Bourbon Street, famed for its Mardi Gras celebration. We meet at 2:00 pm for our New Orleans City/Cemetery Tour. The tour will include Garden District where they built the large, elegant mansions exemplifying styles, including Greek Revival, Italianate and Queen Anne Victorians. Travel down stately St. Charles Avenue along the streetcar line where two of the most prestigious colleges in New Orleans are located; Tulane University and Loyola University. Pass by Audubon Park, which is a 400-acre park located in uptown New Orleans between St. Charles Avenue and the Mississippi River, near Tulane University, Built on the site of the 1884 World's Fair. City Park is another area you will enjoy. At 1,300 acres, it is one of the second largest urban parks in the country. The first parcel of land was acquired in 1854, making it one of the country's oldest parks. You will enjoy a history of New Orleans including the first settlers, religion, culture, and of course, Mardi Gras. Make a stop at an above ground cemetery knows as the City of the Dead. Drop off at Tujaque s Restaurant. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner at Tujague s Restaurant, the 2 nd oldest restaurant in New Orleans! Located in the heart of the French Quarter and facing the historic French Market, Tujague's has retained its reputation for providing an unforgettable dining experience in the original Creole tradition. This afternoon, we check out of our hotel at noon and transfer to the Julia Street Cruise Terminal in New Orleans to board the Norwegian Pearl for your 9-Day Western Caribbean Cruise Tour. Both nature and history are preserved underwater with a collection of easily viewed shipwrecks. Thursday, November 30 th Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Beautiful and unspoiled, Roatan is a peaceful, eco-tourist's dream, just 30 miles off the coast of Honduras. Teeming with marine life and home to some of the best pillar coral in the Caribbean, the pristine Honduran Reef is a diver's paradise. And the beauty of Tabyana Beach is always a sight to see. Friday, December 1 st Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Located on the eastern coast of Honduras, Santa Tomas de Castilla was originally settled in the 19th century by Belgian pioneers. Check out the abundant flora and fauna of Las Escobas Waterfalls, located within the protected nature reserve at the Cerro San Gil.
