We have about 10 members that have not paid. You can bring your dues to the Feb. 4th meeting or mail to REMTC, P.O. Box 1058, Forestville, CA 95436. If you do not send your roster corrections and additions to us, the same information will be repeated from the 2015 roster. New cell phones, new Model T s, change of address etc are important especially for members to reference the latest information. If you have a business card, please remember to submit $25 for the 2016 year. If you have a new card, please include. We hope to complete the roster by March 1st. We are only volunteers, so please help us complete our jobs efficiently. 2

President s MessageFebruary 2016 I would like to extend a warm welcome to the new slate of REMTC officers for 2016. A big welcome to our new members, Fred and Nancy Byl, Eric and Patty Nelson, and Peter Stoneberg and Sue Horschler. I am proud to announce that, after reaching the age of 85 and remaining active members, Warren and Phyllis Welsh are our newest honorary members. January has been a wet month, so the Model T s have had a short time to rest. This is the perfect time to give the old car a once-over and make sure it is in tip-top shape for the Safety Check which is coming up in early April at the home of Dave and Sherry Haase. Touring season will be here before you know it. If you have tour ideas, be sure to see Steve Vining and get then on the calendar. Richard Ed s Notes Safety Check, Barbecue, and Auction April 2nd Haase Barn Just a heads up to start thinking and planning for our big event and money maker to help cover Club expenses. In the past, we have held the REMTC auction in the winter months but the timing didn t work out last year. Dave & Sherry Haase graciously offered to have the auction in the Spring along with the Safety Check and Barbecue. This will give you additional time to gather good desirable items to auction. This is a silent auction and will go on during the Safety Check and conclude after the barbecue. Please remember: This is not a yard sale so items you donate should be something that Club members would want. The very capable Fern Newlin will be heading up a committee to set up the auction. Next month, we will include a flyer with all the information about the event. We have wonderful Club volunteers that will readily step up to help. Safety check will be conducted by our usual crew. The barbecue chefs will man the grills, Pot luck salads, sides and desserts brought by the members are always yummy. Set up and cleans up crew should let Dave & Sherry know who they are. Since the auction is a new addition this year, Fern will inform us of what needs to be done! February and March are open (weather permitting) for tours. September is also open and plenty of weekends for local tours or???. Steve Vining is your new Tour Director. Be sure to let Steve know of your plans and what help you need. We have Trouble Truck drivers that can see we get to and from our destinations. Remember, you are solely responsible for your own Model T s so conduct your own safety checks often and a 5 minute walk around each time we stop has saved many breakdowns. We are looking forward to a full and exciting touring season. Sonoma County loves to watch the Fords go by... 3

Officer s exchange at Omlette Express, We celebrated and welcomed the officer s going on for another year and thanked the members who were going out this year. President Richard, read the slate of officers and being duly installed, we are ready for another year. The Club thanked Richard and Nanette for their good work as President and Secretary with a gift certificate to enjoy a dinner out. The Chucks hold down jobs as well at attending to the business of the Club. We are fortunate to have folks willing to donate their time and energy for the good of the Club. We gathered for a breakfast at the Windsor Omelette Express, who accommodated us on a short time line. They squeezed us along a side area, all 33 of us. The food was good and ample with their famous omelettes and other egg dishes. It was raining so we all bought our modern cars. Dudley Stone came down from Chico sporting his new Club jacket. Jeanne Nelson took the photos. All in all, we had a nice gathering and most got home in time to watch a sports event. We have all been together for a long time, some for 25 years, and together with our newer members we have a good time where ever we go. Club demographics change but we always accommodate our older members by giving them rides when they don t feel like driving and they definitely avail us of their years of Model T experience. Sounds like a family to me. Ginny 7
