JTC is family owned-and-operated by Rose-Marie, Bernard, and Gilles Repond. The directors are on spot during the camp. Bernard, language and history professor is taking care of the language s courses, Rose-Marie, sport sciences and language professor is managing the staff and organize the program, Gilles, managing director takes care of the logistic and marketing. JTC offers a safe environment for unique experiences of learning, discovery, and sharing. The well-being of the campers, the professionalism of our staff, the fostering of mutual respects and, of course, smiles and laughter is of the utmost importance to us. JTC welcomes boys and girls aged 7 to 16. The campers and staff come from every part of the world, making interaction and new friendships all the more special. It s ideal altitude of 1000m (3000ft) makes for a healthy and relaxing stay. The camp is located only a few minutes walk from downtown Flims-Laax, is surrounded by excellent sports facilities and borders an alpine forest. Laax is located between Zurich and St Moritz (one hour and half driving from each spot). Laax is also a world-famous place for snowboarding in Winter and developing now for the summer activities in a very contemporary environment the Rock Resort, the freestyle academy beside the classical sport activities. Laax is graced by both lakes and mountains: five lakes are surrounding the villages of Laax and Flims, fantastic open swimming pool with clean source s water. Cable car, chairlifts, hiking path, biking path are offering hundreds of ways to hike or climb the mountains. The Swiss Tectonic Arena Sardona in the north-eastern part of the country covers a mountainous area of 32,850 ha which features seven peaks that rise above 3,000 m. as well as the Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina Landscapes, which brings together two historic railway lines that cross the Swiss Alps through two passes are two site from the Unesco world heritage very closed from the camp location. LIFE AT CAMP THE LIFE AT THE CAMP Campers and staff are housed in a modern building, the Riders Palace, ranked among the 150 best-designed hotels in the world. They sleep in spacious rooms equipped with 2 or 3 beds and private bathrooms. The cleaning staff is taking care of the room every day laundry two times a week THE GASTRONOMY A special moment at JTC: the meals are of high quality, cooked by the chef from the Hotel Signina from the rock Resort and a vegetarian alternative is available to the campers. A large breakfast buffet is offered every morning along with special occasions like Barbeque, Themed buffets, and much more THE PROGRAM Language courses: upon arrival all the campers are taking a placement test to ensure that the levels and ages are making a perfect learning environment. The classes are held with a maximum of 10 pupils. Sport Program: if you like to improve, discover, train for performance, the counselors and experts are ready to teach and challenge the campers. Upon arrival, each camper will choose together with an advisor which activity they would like to practice or try, and most important at which frequency (Try, practice, intensive) Almost everything is available from Golf course, tennis courts, skating rink, swimming pool, biking runs, and giant trampoline, skateboarding, via ferrata, gymnastic hall, football pitches, hiking and running paths, Nordic walking trails and much more Moreover we continue to offer our famous ski and snowboarding trips to Zermatt.
