Thoughts for the Month from Tom: The December Holiday Party at Steakhouse 100 has 9 Giveaways This year's Holiday Party should rival past such activities highlighted by 9 giveaways so far. This includes: $100 Vail Trip Gift Certificate donated by Ski Adventures tour operator Tom Gray Weekday pass for Little Switz in Slinger Bike Helmet XL from Allis Bike ($75 Value) Bike Helmet Medium from Allis Bike ($75 Value) Ski Goggles from Lesmoise ($100 Value) Ski Performance Tune-up from Lesmoise ($75 value) Bike Tune-up from Johnson Cycle ($60 value) Wheel & Sprocket Gift Certificate Premium Beer/Wine Tickets (4) So come to the annual Sitzmark Holiday Party to enjoy the company of your fellow club members, possibly win some giveaways, enjoy music/dancing and an opportunity to sign up for Northern and Western Ski Trips. The Vail Trip is already filled through the efforts of Western Trip Director Mark Harris, Marc Pettit and Dave Wherry so signup at this event for one or more of the remaining Sitzmark Ski trips before they fill up too. Save money by registering for the Sitzmark Holiday Party online but you are welcome to register at the door as well. It will be held at Steakhouse 100 located on the NE Corner of 73rd & Greenfield in West Allis. Doors to the Party Room opens at 6pm but you may wish to make reservations (414-727-2222) to dine beforehand at the adjoining restaurant where your basic fish runs around $10. Congratulations/Appreciation We wish to acknowledge the efforts of club members in organizing November clubsponsored events including Shakers Cigar Bar on November 5th (Mike Mueller & Tom Bronson), Teton Gravity Research Premiere of Tight Loose at Waukesha Elk Lodge 400 on November 11th (Mark Harris), and a Birthday Meet-Me-At at West Allis' Steak House 100 on November 17th (Jim Reilly). We also appreciate the ongoing weekly Packer Parties (Tom & Jean Bronson, Tom Augustine & Janice Wachs) held throughout the pro football season at the Aris Sports Bar. We filled 5 tables again for the Monday night game victory over Eagles which is a fairly typical number of attendees for this on-going club activity. In addition, the Premiere of Tight Loose had a higher than expected attendance (125) when it was held at the Waukesha Elk's club. This was a jointly sponsored event by MMSC (Mark Harris), Laacke & Joy and Teton Gravity Research. We look forward to seeing club members participating in the upcoming events in December including the December 2nd Holiday Party at Steakhouse 100 (Jim Reilly), Santa Cycle Rampage December 3rd (Ann Kammerer) with check-in at BelAir Cantina Tosa between 7-9am, Victorian High Tea on December 4th at 1pm at the Schuster Mansion (Mike Mueller & Audrey Wissmann), and a December Birthday Meet-Me-at on December 7th starting at 5pm at Waukesha's The Neighbors Bar & Grill (Audrey Wissmann). I again welcome all suggestions and really appreciate the dedicated Sitzmark Board Members, Directors and volunteers we have that are contributing to the continuing success of our club.

As Past President, one of my duties is to assist the Board of Directors by providing direction for the operation of the Club. One of the ways to do this is through the Steering Committee. We are looking for longtime members, new active club members, past board officers/directors and current board officers/directors to be part of the committee. Steering Committee One topic that has come up consistently over the years is the definition of a couple membership and whether it should be expanded to include non married and/or same sex relationships. We are also looking for other topics that the Steering Committee could discuss. Please email or call me of your interest to participate or suggest a topic. Some topics may only need us to meet once or twice to discuss. Dawn Petermann, Past-President and head of the Steering Committee Pastpresident@sitzmark.org
