L ARC DE TRIOMPHE The French emperor Napoleon decided to build the Arc de Triomphe as a monument to honour soldiers who had fought and died for France. It was started in 1806 but not completed until 1836. Beneath the arch is the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior from the First World War. In 1920, an 'eternal flame' was lit here in memory of all French soldiers lost in war. The flame is tended every day at 6pm so that it continues burning. The Arc stands on a roundabout known as the 'star' because it has twelve roads running out from the centre, making it look like a 12-pointed star. In the word search, can you find the names of all of the roads. There is one missing. Write this below the word search.
