Moore Aviation, Inc. Experience the joy of learning to fly. It is fun and exciting! Moore Aviation looks forward to being your flight training school. Having been continually in the flight training business for 77 years our track history and safety record is unmatched by any other flight school at Beaver County Airport. Moore Aviation has a fleet of 11 aircraft, 10 flight instructors including a full time chief Instructor. We typically will take you through your flight training faster in fewer flight hours and typically at less cost than the lesser experienced schools. We focus on General Aviation and Professional Pilot training. As an FAA approved Part 141* and Part 61 flight school we offer Private Pilot License*, Instrument Rating*, Commercial Pilot License* Multi Engine Rating*, Certified Flight Instructor Rating, Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine Instructor Rating. Veterans and Professional Pilot Students gain an edge on their training with our highly experienced staff. Many of our students are already enjoying aviation careers with companies such as US Airways, American Airlines, Northwest, United, Republic, Air Wisconsin, Colgan Air and UPS. Also many of our students are now employed by the Federal Government in the Federal Aviation Administration, US Navy and US Air Force.

How do I get started? Enrollment & Scheduling Simply complete the forms in the back of this booklet (enrollment form, rental agreement and attendance policy), then give forms to office staff to be entered into our system. Students are suggested to set up a standing schedule with our schedule manager; Linda located in the dispatch office. A standing schedule will give you 3 scheduled flights per week. The more often you fly the sooner you can attain you certificate and save money. Students can choose 2 different types of payment. You can pay after each flight or you can deposit a lump sum of money on account and we will inform you when the account is running low. Your account status is available to you at all times through Cassi or just asks the office staff. For those of you wanting to finance your training see brochure in back of this booklet. Students may go to mooreaviation.net to access their flight schedule. Once logged into web site on the left side of screen, click schedule, a Cassi Technology block will appear. To log into Cassi, click the Cassi block then enter your personal User ID number and password. You can view schedules but cannot schedule yourself. To schedule please call the office @ 724-843-4800. Estimated costs for Recreational Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot Certificates are provided in this booklet. Who will be my Instructor? A qualified instructor will be assigned to you based on your availability and that of the instructor. We recommend that you stay with one instructor until you solo, then you can schedule with a different instructor. We recommend keeping to one instructor as much as possible to expedite your training progress. How long will it take to get my certificates and ratings? All lessons are essential in our courses. The courses are designed for you to obtain your license in the minimum amount of time. The course is written so that if review or additional training is necessary, it is available within the course. Please remember that the flight hours required for a license are FAA s minimum time. This does not mean that just because you have the required time for a license that you are ready for a check ride. Many factors affect the learning process and the time to completion. Weather and finances seem to be the prevalent factors. Nationally, the average flight time for a private pilot certificate under FAA Part 61 is 75 hours. The average flight time for FAA Part 141 is 65 hours. On average our students finish in about 55 hours. Am I insured while I am flying? Yes, we provide two million dollars liability insurance. We provide $500,000 liability coverage for renter pilots as well. You may contact Nation Air Insurance Company for additional information regarding coverage. See information sheet regarding renter s (optional) additional liability insurance in back of book. How do I know my airplane is safe to fly? By FAA regulations each aircraft that is operated for hire must follow an inspection program that is authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration. Our experienced maintenance staff holds FAA certification in many phases of aircraft maintenance. These aircraft are maintained to the highest standard. What about canceling and rescheduling flights? Please see the Attendance and No Show Policy included in this booklet. Call the dispatch Office at 724-843-4800 to schedule or cancel a flight.

Visit our pilot shop! All required Pilot supplies are available at discounted prices at Moore Aviation s Pilot Shop. Just ask our dispatch office staff for assistance.
