Door on shed was pried open. R/P (victim s son) advises he went over to his mother s house and went out into the yard to get his mother s Craftsman Chipper/ Shredder from the shed. When he got to the shed he noticed that the door on the shed had been pried open and the Craftsman Chipper/ Shredder was missing. Incident happened sometime between 11/15/2017 @ 7:00pm- 11/17/2017 @ 3:00pm. From: 11/14/2017 1:29pm To: 11/21/2017 1:29pm 20000 Westland Dr. Window pane on the front door was broken out. Victim stated between 11/14/2017 @ 1:29pm- 11/21/2017 @ 1:29pm some person/s unknown forced entry to the home and stole copper piping and the stove. Victim also stated the unknown suspects caused damage to the interior.

(Commercial- Car Rental) I Recovered Stolen Nissan Rogue Color BRO - Brown Vehicle Year 2017 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State Illinois License Year 2018 2017 Nissan Rogue >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I Recovered Stolen Infiniti QX80 Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2017 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State Mi License Year Mi 2017 Infiniti QX80 Southfield Police Detectives received information from the Branch Manager from Leasing Agency in the 26000 Block of Telegraph Rd regarding a possible stolen rental vehicle located in the rear of their lot in Southfield. Detectives went to the rear of the business parking lot and observed a 2017 Nissan Rogue that was reported stolen. The date of theft was reported as 10/19/2017 from their company s location in another jurisdiction. The vehicle was recovered. Detectives also located a second stolen rental vehicle at this location. The second vehicle was stolen from Rental Agency at Wayne County Airport.

(Commercial- Rental) 23000 Poplar Dr. SR - Both Stolen and Recovered GMC SAVANA Color WHI - White Vehicle Year Body Style State Arizona License Year 2018 CARGO TRUCK Recovered Date/Time 11/20/2017 8:30am S - Stolen CHRYSLER 200-S Color MAR - Maroon or Burgundy Vehicle Year Body Style State License Year 2015 4D - 4 Door MI Motor Vehicle Vehicle was a Fail to Return Rented Vehicle and was in lein as a Stolen vehicle. The manager for Leasing Agency received a phone call from a citizen advising that the vehicle was parked in the area of Bridge St and Eight Mile Rd. The key to the vehicle was on the ground nearby. The manager recovered the vehicle and drove it back to their location. There were no obvious signs of damage. Victim stated her 2015 Chrysler 200-S was stolen sometime between Monday November 13, 2017@ 5:00pm & Tuesday November 14, 2017@ 7:30am. No suspect information.

From: 11/14/2017 7:30am To: 11/14/2017 5:00pm 28000 Northwestern Hwy S - Stolen FORD FOCUS Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2014 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year MOTOR VEHICLE The vehicle was originally reported as stolen. Investigation revealed that the vehicle wasn t stolen. The vehicle had been repossessed because the owner was behind on the payments. 11/15/2017 11:44am 24000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Car Leasing) S - Stolen Chevy Malibu License No. Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year Body Style 4D - 4 Door State WI Chevy Malibu Manager from Leasing Agency advises suspect rented a 2016 Chevy Malibu on Oct. 15, 2017 and it was to be returned on Nov. 13, 2017. The vehicle was not returned and suspect did not attempt to extend the contract by paying. A Certified demand letter was sent stating the vehicle had to be returned by 11/15/2017. The vehicle was never returned. Suspect has been identified and incident is under further investigation. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 11/13/2017 8:44pm 25000 Greenfield Rd. (Apartments) The attacked vehicle was a Red Ford Focus. Victim advised one of the doors on the vehicle was broken and does not lock. Victim checked her vehicle and stated her wallet was missing as well as an iphone that was broken. The wallet contained victims ID, an airport card with her social security number on it, and cash. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave anything of value in the interior of their vehicle. Especially wallets, purses, cell phones and handguns!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Officers met with two females who stated they observed a black male and black female in their vehicle. When they approached their vehicle the two suspects took off running. The owner of the vehicle chased after the two subjects that she saw in her car. Victim stated she saw them go into an apartment and they were looking out the blinds at her. They turned the lights off in the apartment. The apartment where victim believed the subjects ran to was in the 25000 Block of Greenfield Rd, Officers made contact at the apartment and the suspects were not located at this time. The male suspect was described as a B/M possibly in his early 20's wearing a dark hoodie. He had braids and a goatee or beard. The female suspect was described\as a heavyset B/F also in her early 20's. The female was wearing glasses and a bonnet on her head.

From: 11/13/2017 8:00pm To: 11/14/2017 9:27am 28000 Everett St. S - Stolen Handgun License No. Color BLK - Black R/P states he was at a meeting where guns are not allowed and left the gun inside of the glove compartment of his 2012 Ford Focus. After the meeting he forgot to remove the gun out of the glove compartment. He came home and parked his car in the street on Everett. At approx. 8pm his wife moved the car into the driveway. The following morning victim walked out to his car and observed the glove compartment open and his gun missing. 11/13/2017 1:00am 29000 Heritage Ln. Suspect went through victims 2016 GMC Sierra. Nothing was taken. Victim states on November 13, 2017@ 1:00 am the suspect entered victims unlocked vehicle and went through the vehicle. The incident was captured on surveillance video. Nothing was taken. From: 11/14/2017 5:30pm To: 11/15/2017 4:30pm 24000 Walden Rd W (Apartments) One tire (not the rim) was taken from victim s vehicle. Victim states sometime between 5:30pm and the following day at 4:30pm someone removed one tire, not the rim, just the tire from the right front of his vehicle? No suspect info.

From: 11/14/2017 1:00pm To: 11/14/2017 4:00pm 11/16/2017 2:00am 25000 Code Rd. 15000 Providence Dr. (Condo s) S - Stolen STIHL POWER PRUNER Gas Track and 2- Tool Bags were taken out of victims GMC Savanna Van. Victim from Lawn Service advises sometime between 1:00pm- 4:00pm while doing business in the 25000 Block of Code St. someone stole a Stihl Power Pruner from the back of their work truck. No suspect info. Victim states that on 11/16/2017 between 2:00am 7:00am someone broke the driver's side window and unlocked his vehicle. Victim states that his gas track and two tool bags were taken out of his van. Victim parked his vehicle at the south wall in the gated lot of his complex. From: 11/15/2017 10:00am To: 11/15/2017 5:00pm 23000 Telegraph Rd. Catalytic Converter was taken from 2004 Honda Odyssey. Victim states on 11/17/2017 sometime between 10:00am- 5:00pm someone cut off the catalytic converter from his 2004 Honda Odyssey. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

(Gas Station) SR - Both Stolen and Recovered GMC SAVANA CUTAWAY Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2014 Body Style TK - Truck State MI License Year 2018 2014 GMC BOX TRUCK Recovered Date/Time 11/17/2017 9:50am Location 20000 Block of Southfield Rd. An off-duty Southfield Officer observed suspicious subject on the north side of Gas Station in the 20000 Block of Southfield Road. Officer observed B/M suspect with a hoodie over his head pacing back and forth on the north side of the Gas Station. He immediately notified Southfield Police Dispatch (via phone) of the suspicious activity and the description of the subject. Officer continued to watch the suspect as he put on a face mask over his face. The suspect then walked, turned the corner of the Gas Station, pulled a handgun out from his waist band and approached a white male with a Delivery Type Box Truck near the driver's door. Suspect pointed the hand gun at victim and got into his truck and drove away. Officer immediately notified Southfield Police Dispatch and advised them that the suspect had committed a carjacking. Officer gave a description of the stolen vehicle, direction of travel and followed vehicle from a safe distance. Officer followed the suspect vehicle to the area of 7 Mile and Southfield where the suspect turned down a side street and struck another vehicle going in the opposite direction. The suspect continued down the side street until he struck a curb. At this point the suspect bailed out

of the stolen vehicle and fled on foot towards an abandoned house. As the suspect fled on foot Officer heard several gunshots. Several Southfield Officers responded to this area in search of the suspect. A short time later a Southfield Officer broadcasted that he might have the suspect walking southbound on the northbound Southfield Service Drive just south of Curtis. Suspect was wearing a dark hoodie and gray pants matching that of the suspect. When the suspect observed Officer, he started to run S/B on Southfield Service Dr. Officer observed and put out information that the suspect was brandishing a handgun and is running south through the backyards into the neighborhood. Shortly after this another Southfield Officer advised that the suspect was coming out from in between the houses in the 18000 Block of Fenmore. With assistance from other Officers and an Oakland County Sheriff Deputy s the suspect was surrounded & ordered to the ground. The suspect complied and was taken into custody and placed under arrest for Car Jacking. Officers recovered the suspects handgun. It was later discovered after interviewing a witness that when the suspect exited the stolen vehicle on foot he fired his handgun several times in the direction of the off-duty Southfield Officer who was still following the suspect from a safe distance.

Surveillance video from the Gas Station shows the suspect getting dropped off at the Gas Station and getting out of a 4-Dr Silver Sedan heavy tinted windows and custom silver/chrome rims. Unarmed Robbery: 11/17/2017 4:26pm 26000 Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) S - Stolen SAMSUNG GALAXY Serial No. License No. Color BLK - Black BLACK SAMSUNG GALAXY PHONE >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anytime anyone utilizes a dating site or meets with someone on-line there should be due care and caution used. Especially the first time you meet. The meeting should be at a safe place that s open to the general public with lots of people. Always have a way out! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Victim states he met a suspect on a dating website The suspect asked him to come to the hotel in Southfield and he went there to meet her. Victim was looking for a dating relationship but when he arrived, the female was in the room and there was evidence that it was more than just a dating service. Victim told the female he was going to leave and she told him he had to pay her a sum of money first before he could leave. Victim told the suspect he didn t have any money and wasn t going to pay her anything. The female hit victims phone out of his hand using her shoe. She grabbed the phone and told him that if he wanted it back he had to give her a sum of money. Victim left the room and went to the lobby where the police were called. The suspect was gone when the police arrived. Possible Suspect has been developed and incident is under investigation. Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention: LFA s Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. CSC 1st Degree/ Domestic Assault- 1- Arrest 11/18/2017 9:13pm 27000 Block of Franklin Rd (Apartments) Officers were dispatched to location on the report of a Domestic Assault. Officers arrived located female victim and were advised that her boyfriend assaulted her to wit, struck her in the leg with a baseball bat and punched her in the eye. Victim later, also advised Officers that he forced her to perform several sexual acts. Officers observed injuries consistent with what victim was reporting. Victim stated that she had just started dating her ex-boyfriend again. She had left him because he was abusive to her in the past. The male suspect was located at his apartment. He denied hitting victim. Officers located a witness that advised Officers that he witnessed suspect near the lobby in apartment holding victim off her feet up against the wall by the elevators in the lobby and then punched her in the face. The male suspect was arrested.
