1. INTRODUCTION TENDER DOCUMENT: B737NG EXPAT PILOTS FOR AICL Air India Charters Ltd., (AICL) is subsidiary of Air India Ltd., which is fully owned by Government of India and has its registered office at Mumbai, India. Air India Charters Ltd. has B737-800 aircraft in its fleet. 2. PURPOSE Air India Charters Ltd., for its low-cost international airline Air India Express, which has only B737-800 aircraft in its fleet, intends to hire Expat Pilots qualified on B737-800NG type of aircraft, on contract. 3. TENDER DOCUMENT The purpose of this document is to present the requirements of Air India Charters Ltd. and to invite technical and financial proposals from reputed Pilot recruitment agencies for appointment of Pilots on contract. 4. STRUCTURE OF THE DOCUMENT 4.1 Annexure I The Annexure I contains the technical specifications required. Please complete the annexure with the required information and submit as part of the offer. 4.2 Annexure II Annexure II is for financial bid of the offer. As our company s procedures do not permit post-tender negotiations except with the bidder offering the best financial terms kindly submit the best terms at this stage itself. 5. SUBMISSION Offers complete in all respects should be sent in two sealed envelopes. One envelope will contain Annexure I and be super scribed as Tender for Pilots on Contract Annexure -I Technical Bid. The second envelope will contain the Annexure-II and be super scribed as Tender for Pilots on contract Annexure II Financial bid. Please provide your company profile along with the Technical Bid. BROAD QUALIFICATIONS (Detailed list of requirement shall be issued separately) Minimum PIC on type / variant Minimum glass cockpit experience Recent experience 500 Hrs. with current IR/LR check / (Pilot s Proficiency Checks) 1000 Hrs. At least three takes-off and landings within the preceding 90 days on the type of aircraft applied for or in a flight simulator approved for the purpose. Note: In case the pilot is not current, the requisite currency training may be provided by AIE, the cost of which shall be borne by the Captain. 4. MEDICAL REQUIREMENT In addition to the pilot maintaining his home country medical valid and current at all times, he would be required to undergo Indian Class-I Medical. In addition, the pilot shall be required to undergo Pre Employment Company Medical. Medical Insurance and Life Insurance will be Pilot's own responsibility. Loss of License/TMU/PMU will be borne by the Pilot.
5. LICENCE Issued by ICAO contracting state.(with type and TRE/ TRI qualification endorsement) 6. NO INCIDENT/ ACCI DENT The pilot must have an Incident/accident free record for the past 5 years (document certifying the same by the Regulatory Body to be provided). 7. AGE Not above 62 years as on the date of application (Provided the Home Country License permits the pilot to act as PIC up to the age of 65 yrs.-necessary document to be provided). 8. SCHEDULE PATTERN (a)8 Weeks on 2 Weeks off (preferred) (B) 6 Weeks on 2 Weeks off The Time Off shall be inclusive of travel time and shall commence on leaving India/finish on arrival in India. Note: During initial training period, the Pilot shall be entitled to 1 day off per week. 9. OVERTIME The pilot shall be entitled to Overtime for flying in excess of 160 hrs in a 2 month period. Any online station of AIE, at company s discretion. 9A. BASE (Currently the bases are South Indian Stations). Management reserves the right to change the base at its own discretion. 10. ACCOMMODATION Pilot to make own accommodation arrangements, at the allocated base station. The company shall provide Hotel/Suitable accommodation for the initial 15 days, on Bed and Breakfast basis, to enable the pilot to make own arrangements, after allocation of Base by the Management. Accommodation will be provided when on flying duties away from his base, on Bed and Breakfast basis. Accommodation shall be provided during the entire duration of training in Mumbai 11. TRAVEL DURING TIME OFF Shall be provided in Economy Class, on confirmed basis (upgradeable to Business Class, subject to availability) on AI/AIE network up to the nearest online station. Travel by other Airlines, shall be pilot s own responsibility. Cost of travel from Air India/AIE online station to the residence will be borne by
the Pilot. 12. TRANSPORTATION Pilot to make own arrangement for all ground transportation at Base as well as during training. Transport shall be provided at other layover stations when on flying duty. 13 Uniform/ Manuals Will be provided by the Airline 14 English Proficiency Pilot should be fully proficient in English Language, with an endorsement on his license. 15. SICK LEAVE 15 days per year (prorated for part year). A maximum of 5 days at any given time 16. HOME COUNTRY LICENCE AND MEDICAL RENEWAL Pilot s own responsibility and to be completed during normal time off. Airline shall be responsible for applicable Indian taxation. 17. TAXATION The Company will inform the amount payable in taxable and non-taxable form at the time of signing the contract. 18. SELECTION PROCESS Shall include an Interview, a Simulator Screening test and Pre Employment Medical. 19. PAYMENT The payment during initial Training and induction, till the pilot undertakes the first commercial flight independently as PIC shall be 75% of the applicable monthly salary. LAW & JURISDICTION RETENTION MONEY MISSED FLIGHT PENALTY DETERMINATION Government of India and Courts in Mumbai. An amount of USD 1000 shall be deducted each month from the monthly salary and retained by AICL. This shall be paid on the completion of 1 year of service/ upon completion of contract. The amount shall be forfeited in case the pilot leaves AICL without giving the requisite notice OR if the services are terminated by AICL due to a failure on part of the Captain to fulfill his obligations. Missed flight penalty of USD 500 for each instance of failure to perform assigned duty shall apply. L1 shall be determined on the basis of the cost of a pilot for one year (monthly

OF L 1 PAYMENT OF ONE TIME FEE TO THE AGENCY QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR AGENCIES payment x 12 plus the Agency fee) The agency shall be paid 50% of the Agency fee upon the pilot commencing assignment. The balance 50 % shall be paid on completion of 1 year. In case, a pilot leaves before 1 year, this 50% shall be forfeited. The agency should have been in the business of Expat Pilot Recruitment for IATA recognized International Airlines for a minimum period of 3 years. It must have capability to provide the requisite number of pilots required by AICL. 27. THE EMPLOYMENT shall be governed by all applicable rules of Government of India and any changes thereof.
