WINNING PREMIERSHIPS WHAT IS REQUIRED? THE FUNDAMENTALS: 1. Be capable of fully funding player payment limits. To attract and retain the players we need we have to pay up to the salary cap of $12.4m (2017 season). The AFL does not guarantee funding to this level. 2. Be capable of appropriately resourcing the Football Department. To develop and maintain a high performance culture the AFL has established an industry benchmark soft cap of $9.5m (2017 season) in annual Football Department costs. M7 OBJECTIVE / M7 OBJECTIVE Since 2012 The GIANTS have been building a club like no other, that wins premiership, provides great family entertainment and enriches the lives of people in Western Sydney, Canberra and their broader communities. ACHIEVING OBJECTIVES WHAT IS REQUIRED? To achieve these goals The GIANTS are investing significant resources to recruit and retain the best playing and coaching talent in the country. We have established a football program that we believe will surpass the more established AFL clubs with a focus on enabling the club to pay 100 per cent of the salary cap to players and providing them with the best facilities in the competition. In May 2015, the club developed a plan to recruit high profile business leaders in Sydney that could assist with these goals and be part of a small network of individuals that will leave a lasting legacy at the newest club in the AFL. The M7 group is led by GIANTS Chairman Tony Shepherd AO, and Oxanda Education Co-Founder Adrian Fonseca and will be inviting other like-minded individuals to join in 2017 to help the GIANTS achieve ultimate and sustained success. 6 THERE S A GIANT IN ALL OF US /

TONY SHEPHERD AO / Tony Shepherd AO is Chairman of the GIANTS, the Macquarie Specialised Management Limited (a global infrastructure fund), the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust and ASTRA (the subscription TV Association). He is also a Director of Menzies Research Centre, Virgin Australia International Holdings Limited, Racing NSW and an advisor to Lend Lease, the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ and the ASIC External Advisory Panel. Tony has had an extensive career in Australia and overseas in the private and public sectors. He pioneered private infrastructure with projects such as the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Melbourne City Link and East Link and a range of power stations, water treatment plants, railways and light rail. He was the inaugural Chairman of WestConnex. He oversaw the listing of Transurban, Transfield Services and Connect East.
