Shallow Draft Navigation Channel Dredging and Lake Maintenance Fund Dedicated Funding $500,000 each fiscal year of the FY 15-17 biennium for the DWR Aquatic Weed Control Program $3,000,000 each fiscal year of the FY 15-17 biennium for Oregon Inlet dredging $150,000 for Dept. of Administration to explore options for acquiring Oregon Inlet and adjacent property $500,000 for Dept. Of Administration to acquire federally owned property that are necessary to manage existing and future transportation corridors on the Outer Banks. $250,000 for DEQ to update the Beach and Inlet Management Plan Sole source contract with original contractor Schedule for recommended maintenance, inlets and beaches 7

Memorandums of Agreement State Ports Authority directed to negotiate with the USACE a MOA allowing for nonfederal funding of dredging and related studies or maintenance at the State Ports located at Wilmington and Morehead City Division of Water Resources directed to negotiate with the USACE a MOA allowing for nonfederal funding of dredging of Oregon Inlet Existing Long Term MOA with the Corps allows for non-federal funding of OI maintenance dredging DEQ has petitioned the USACE to increase the funding cap from $4 million to $12 million to accommodate OI expenditures and extend the MOA for 10 years 9
Cape Fear Estuarine Resource Restoration New Inlet Dam ( The Rocks ) DEQ directed to: Notify USACE of State s intent to study removal of the southern component of the New Inlet Dam Issue a Request for Information for a firm capable of conducting a cost / benefit analysis of the southern component removal Request approval from NOAA to adjust the N.C. National Estuarine Research Reserve boundaries Report due April 1, 2016 Division of Coastal Management has the lead for this project 10
