The fair has been held every year since, except when a fire destroyed the grandstands in 1921, and in 1933 during the Chicago World s Fair. In cooperation with the County Convention & Visitors Bureau, University of Illinois Extension and Quiltmakers, local artists and barn owners worked together to create a county-wide tour of rural splendor.
