The goal of the Statewide Economic Development Summit is simple: to strengthen the state s economy through shared ideas and business practices. New this year, a cocktail reception will be held the evening before the Statewide Economic Development Summit. The reception will be held on-site at L Auberge, and will offer attendees a chance to network prior to the Summit. The Regional Canvas Benchmarking Workshop will be an effort by BRAC, in conjunction with the Office of Mayor-President of East Baton Rouge. Business leaders from the Capital Region and surrounding areas are expected to participate. There will be seven* lunches in 2018, providing the opportunity for investors to meet each other and learn about relevant topics and issues. These lunches will occur the first Tuesday of every month, except in the case of a holiday conflict. In 2017, average attendance ranged from 90 to 110 guests. Continued growth is expected for 2018. The Second Home Legislative Reception welcomes Louisiana legislators back to Baton Rouge their home away from home during this time of service to our state.
