Attendees will be instructed in all areas of football, but stressing the fundamentals of the game. Focus areas include position specific fundamentals of blocking, tackling, running, and catching. Blocking and tackling are conducted in a non-contact fashion with blocking shields used in lieu of human contact. How does the stock market work and why should you care? What is insurance? How much does college cost and how will my family pay for it? These Time: 9:00 12:30pm Cost: $100 Introduction to basics and fundamentals of: soccer, basketball, volleyball. Aimed at kids with limited or no prior experience and will include fun games, activities and a 15 minute snack break. Boys Lacrosse Camp 6/25 6/29 Camp Counselor: Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach Kenna Photography/Video 7/9 7/13 Camp Counselor: Photography Teacher Mr. Barrick Time: 9:30 2:30pm Who: Rising 5 9th The Boys Lacrosse Camp will develop your son s lacrosse skills and understanding of the game in a fun environment. Some basic skills that will be developed include passing and catching, shooting, dodging, footwork, and defensive concepts. Throughout the week, campers will receive individual instruction from the coaching staff, who will point out both the player's strengths and areas that need improved. Every camper should be fully equipped to play lacrosse and come to camp eager to become a better lacrosse player. At In this class we will use the Digital SLR and smartphone to explore the very world we live in while learning how each device functions using apertures, shutter speeds, ISO settings and many, many more. We will use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to edit the images taken for the class. A digital SLR will be provided to each student to use during class time. If students do not have a smartphone, don t worry, we will help students find a solution. Outside of class time students can use their smartphone to complete a the end of the week, campers will be divided into teams and compete in a game. Limit: 16 Campers weeklong project. Photographs will be used to tell each student s story. At the end of the week, each student will come away with a portfolio of images.
Art 6/18 6/20 & 6/25 6/26 Camp Counselor: Clayworks Teacher Miss Bidinger Girls Cheerleading Camp 6/25 6/27 Camp Counselor: Cheer Assistant Coach Valentine Tap into your creative side by delving into ceramics $40 Supply Fee Who: Rising 4 8th and drawing this summer. Our young artists will spend the first three days learning the basic techniques of hand building with clay with the opportunity to try the potter's wheel. Students will take a short break while their creations are fired on Thursday and Friday, and then return the following Monday and Tuesday to glaze their pottery and hone their drawing skills with pencil and charcoal. Who: Rising 4 8th The JP Cheerleading Camp will go over cheerleading fundamentals including motions, jumps, and basic stunting techniques. Participants will learn a cheer and dance that will be performed for parents on the final day. JP cheerleaders will demonstrate various skills. Go wolves! Limit 25 Campers
