XB SERIES The Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter (DRASH) XB Series is a lightweight, man-portable, rugged, reliable and user-friendly soft-walled shelter solution to establishing mobile command and control, life support, medical or surge facilities anywhere quickly and efficiently. Applied as a stand alone shelter or easily connectable to other shelters, the shelter s three part components, comprising of the shelter frame with pre-attached covers, ground cover and floor, can be set up within minutes of arriving at location, without using special tools or dealing with loose parts. XB SERIES SHELTER MODELS XB Series Shelters have an interior width of 13.6 feet (4.2 meters), and come in six model sizes in three basic variants, providing from 140.4 to 413.4 square feet (13 to 38.4 meters) of usable space depending on the model and the variant. The XB Variant can be used as a stand alone shelter or easily connected to other DRASH shelters using a Universal Connector Set. The Truncated or XBT Variant can connect at one end to another T Variant to create extended lengths. The XBI Variant is comprised of a midsection that can be connected on both ends to create extended lengths. XB Series Shelters increase in length by increments of approximately 4 feet (1.2 meters) starting at a length of 15.3 feet (4.7 meters) with a maximum length measuring up to 35.3 feet (10.8 meters). The interior height is 8.8 feet (2.7 meters). USER FRIENDLY, TRANSPORTABLE AND RUGGED All XB Series Shelters can be easily set up within 15 minutes of arriving at location using four to six people and can be taken down just as quickly. These shelters do not require any assembly in the field nor do they require any special equipment for either erecting or striking. Simply offload and position, lift and spread, push up and secure. XB Series Shelters pack down to less than 2 percent of total size for easy transport. Additionally, XB Series Shelters can be integrated with DRASH Utility Shelter Transporter (UST) Trailers (see separate UST Trailer insert sheet) to allow for a mobile lighting and environmental control power package that ensures optimum operations even in extreme weather. XB Series Shelters have undergone extensive testing at the Army s Aberdeen Test Center and include rugged, reliable materials to hold up even under the toughest conditions. The shelters covers are manufactured from XYTEX, a specially coated polyester fabric that is fire retardant, mildew resistant and water repellent and is also resistant to high abrasion and ultra violet rays. The cover fabrics also include blackout in the visual and near infrared spectrum. An average of one-foot (30 ) of air space between the exterior and the interior covers provide thermal insulation at an R- Value of 2.1. Shelter frames are made from Titanite, an aerospace composite with superior structural properties. Tests conducted by an independent, university engineering laboratory document that Titanite is 270% stronger than aluminum for the same diameter and cross sectional area. INCLUDED COMPONENTS All XB Series Shelters include as part of the purchase price the complete shelter, windows, doors, electric cable and ECU duct ports, ground cover, floor, a steel stake set, repair kit, vestibule curtain, push poles and transport bag. A custom-made T Boot is included for XBT Model Shelters to fit the customer s vehicle or ISO Container. KEY FEATURES Unique one-piece shelter design no loose parts or pieces to assemble or misplace.
