October 2017 Dear Residents, I m so grateful that the September storm has passed and our community held strong through the wind and rain. Bellacina was very fortunate to only experience minimal damage from Hurricane Irma. The Bellacina Management Team is still working on cleaning up debris and getting the landscaping back in shape. Thank you to all the residents who have been so caring and generous in giving others a helping hand during this time of need! This month the Lifestyle Team will be hosting several fun events and club outings including a Pumpkin Painting Party, A Blast from the Past 70 s Costume Party, a Howl oween Pup Party, Oktoberfest Potluck Dinner, Halloween Happy Hour, a free Financial Wellbeing seminar and more! As you review the upcoming events & activities, please note it is important to RSVP for events marked as a reservation required outing so proper accommodations can be made. We encourage your participation in our lifestyle events so that you have the opportunity to meet and mingle with your fellow neighbors and your Lifestyle Manager! Halloween In Full Swing Check out the Spooky Events happening around Town Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Fest October 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th & 29th: The 29th Annual Fruitville Grove Pumpkin Fest features hay rides, pony rides, pumpkin painting, face painting, mini train rides, a petting zoo, a costume contest every Saturday at 1 p.m. by the stage and more including live music starting at noon. Lots of Halloween decorations for sale, too, from scarecrows to hay bales. Food available for purchase. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Free admission and parking. THE SUNCOAST OKTOBERFEST October 1st Westfield Sarasota Square Mall German food & beer and live music from 3 German Bands are all part of The Sun Coast Oktoberfest presented by Geier s Sausage Kitchen. TOUR DE NORTH PORT BICYCLE RIDE October 22nd 2757 Sycamore Street, North Port It's the 8th Annual Tour de North Port Bicycle Ride. This year's theme is "It's The Green Pumpkin!" It's not a race but four different courses in and around the streets of North Port. There are 15, 35, and 65 mile routes. $40 pre-registration will get you breakfast and a full lunch at the ride's end. Begins/ends at The Imagine School (Upper Campus) located at 2757 Sycamore Street (near the intersection of Toledo Blade and Gateway Blvd.) in North Port.
