This 6 day tour will take you from Zagreb on the North East of Croatia, to Skradin in central Croatia to Dubrovnik in the South. You ll experience Croatia s Dalmatian Coast and Islands: There is spectacular and varied scenery: small medieval towns and bustling modern cities; beautiful natural parks, farms and abundant vineyards. coastcas.= casual, int.= intermediate, adv = advanced. Should you need to contact Pedaltours please call our representative: Beyond (Zarko Galjanic) - 385 99 55 44 331 Please bring this information with you to the start of the tour

Day One: Zagreb to Skradin We ll meet you at the Zagreb airport or your hotel and drive about 3 hrs to Skradin Skradinski buk is one of the most attractive parts of the National Park Krka. It is a massive, clear, natural pool with high waterfalls at one end and cascades at the other. It is the lowest of the three sets of waterfalls formed along the Krka river. In an area 400 m in length and 100 m in width there are 17 waterfalls and the total difference in height between the first and the last falls is 47.70m. Due to the wealth and variety of geomorphological forms, vegetation, and the various effects caused by the play of light on the whirlpools, Skradinski buk is considered to be one of the most beautiful calcium carbonate waterfalls in Europe. Option: Visit to Sibenik - UNESCO Heritage site The Town of Šibenik is the oldest original Croatian town on the Croatian coast. It is mentioned for the first time in 1066 in a document written by the Croatian king Petar Kresimir IV - therefore it is often called the Town of Kresimir. Šibenik already had the status of a town in the 13 th century which led to the construction of its main attraction today, the Cathedral of St. Jacob, which in 2000 was added to the UNESCO's World Heritage list. Breakfast only is included today. Meals: L D Lodging: Hotel Skradinski Buk Burinovac 2, 22222 Skradin Ph: +385 22 771 771 http://www.skradinskibuk.hr/

Day Two: Skradin to Split Ride 76km, 997m / 47mi, 3270ft We leave Skradin, crossing the river and following a moderate winding road up into the surrounding hills. We then enjoy a flat run before a long but easy climb through gently rolling countryside. Our descent takes us to the coast, past the Historic City of Trogir for a final run to the village of Kastel. For those with energy, explore the nearby historic town of Split. Known for its white stone walls, cathedral, numerous shops, bars, cafes and hotels. Lodging: Hotel Ballet School Biskupa Frane Franića 1, 21214 Kaštel Kambelovac Ph: +385 21 221 912 www.hotel-baletnaskola.com Facilities: Restaurant, bar, wifi Day Three: Stobrec to Gradac Stobrec to Gradac: Ride Cas/Int 57km / 36mi, (Scenic viewpoint 37km from Start) Stobrec to Gradac: Ride Adv 94km, 1164m / 58mi, 3818ft After breakfast the van will transfer you to Stobrec for the start of the cycle section. We head towards, the southern most tourist locality of the Makarska riviera in southern Dalmatia. The cycle route follows the Dalmatian coast with views of the islands of Brac and Hvar across the water. The ride is mostly flat along the coast with today s main climb about 35km from the start. Lodging: Hotel Labineca*** Jadranska 2, 21330 Gradac Ph: +385 21 608 510 www.hotellabineca-adriatiq.com Facilities: Restaurant, bar, swimming pool, wifi Day Four: Gradac to Mali Ston Pijavcino to Mali Ston: Ride Int / Adv 56km / 35mi, 73km including ferry,, Gradac to Mali Ston: Ride Int / Adv 74km / 46mi, 4070ft, 88km including ferry, From Gradac you ll be cycling to Ploce (13km) to chatch the ferry to Trpanj (1 hour). You will then continue to cycle along the Pelješac peninsula, the heart of the Croatian wine country. Cycling past the rocks, vegetation and groves of pine and cypress evokes a sense of timelessness. On the hills above the sea, abandoned villas and gardens, stone walls and columns lie crumbling in the sun. You will pass Lemon, fig and almond trees, herbs and wildflowers which surround the villages gardens and fields with our final destination at Mali Ston.

Mali Ston (which means Little Ston) is a little village and harbour situated about 1km from Ston (its larger sister village) on the Pelješac peninsula. Both towns are major gastronomic destinations, famous for the mussels and oysters that have been farmed here since Roman times. Ston is an important salt-producing town. Its economic importance to Dubrovnik led, in 1333, to the construction of a 5.5km wall, one of the longest fortifications in Europe. Lodging Hotel Ostrea Ph: +385 20 754 555 www.ostrea.hr Facilities: Restaurant, laundry, wifi

Day Five: Mali Ston to Dubrovnik Ride 56km / 35mi, 2913ft Your final cycling day follows a gentle and undulating coastal trail overlooking stunning views of the Adriatic Ocean to our final destination, the town of Dubrovnik - the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' Dubrovnik became an important Mediterranean port from the 13th century onwards. Although severely damaged by an Earthquake in 1667, Dubrovnik managed to preserve its beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains. Damaged again in the 1990s by armed conflict, it is now the focus of a major restoration program coordinated by UNESCO. Lodging Valamar Argosy Hotel Ul.
