ITINERARY DAY 1: USA MARTINIQUE Fly to Fort de France, Martinique where France meets the Caribbean. A Forum representative will meet you at the airport to help you transfer by private motor coach to les Trois -Îlets. DAY 2: THE MANGROVE OF MARTINIQUE Meet your tour manager and enjoy a visit to the Pottery village. An authentic site of Martinique s heritage which focuses on the work of the earth. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue on to Marin, a town on the East Coast of the Island. Enjoy riding your Kayak while discovering the mangrove of the island. The Mangrove is a coastal flooded, littoral forest that is only found in the tropics. DAY 3: LE JARDIN DE BALATA - LA ROUTE DE LA TRACE After, visit one Martinique s most famous sights, the Balata Gardens, to see why this is the Isle of Flowers. This private botanical garden is home to a staggering number of begonias, bromeliads, bamboo and about 300 different types of palm trees. Free time for lunch before following the Route de la Trace, a trail first used by Jesuits in the XVII Century. It leads from Fort de France to Morne Rouge and rich tropical forests with luxurious flora. Departing from Fort de France, in the direction of Morne Rouge, you will be treated to an opportunity to see a bit of Paris, a miniature replica of the basilica of Montmartre Sacre Coeur. You will then drive to the towns on the Atlantic Coast to view some banana and pineapples plantations. Enter the banana museum in the town of Sainte Marie. The Banana Museum welcomes you for a fun an informative visit to the heart of a plantation in full operation. DAY 4: SCHOOL VISIT Spend the morning at a local High School and meet local high school students. Lunch with your group at a local restaurant. Then, participate in a Biguine Dance Class! Later, you will visit the sugarcane museum, located in an old distillery. It traces the evolution of sugarcane during the last three centuries.
ITINERARY DAY 5: PATRIMOINE ET TRADITIONS Enter the musée de la pagerie. This former sugar estate was the birthplace of Marie Joseph Rose Tascher de la Pagerie, the future Empress Josephine. A picturesque stone building has been turned into a museum containing Josephine s childhood bed and other memorabilia. Continue your visit with la maison Clément. This Creole plantation house and former distillery has been classified as a historical monument since 1996. After lunch time, you will stroll the beaches of les Salines, one of the nicest beaches of the Island. Free time in the town in Sainte Anne. DAY 6: FORT DE FRANCE After breakfast, get to know the unknown Fort de France while following your local guide on a guided walking tour of the city. Stroll along the Grand Marché in Fort-de-France. Enjoy an explosion of colours and scents beneath its vast metal and glass canopy. Enter the Bibliotheque Schoelcher, a Romanesque- and Byzantine-style library and architectural wonder (designed by Gustave Eiffel, after whom the Eiffel Tower was named). Originally built for the Paris Exposition of 1889, it was shipped in 1895, piece by piece, to Fort-de-France and reassembled. This afternoon, you will partake in a local cooking workshop. Learn to cook the Creole way and taste delicious dishes! DAY 7: CATAMARAN CRUISE After breakfast, you will board a catamaran for a day cruise in the North part of the island. Stop by a charming creek to take a swim in turquoises water, snorkel or just relax in the shadow of the palms. A Creole lunch and delicious non-alcoholic cocktails will be served on board. Continue your cruise along the coast to discover the various beautiful wild creeks. Make a stop to visit the town of St. Pierre. Enjoy the sunset on board to the rhythms of Caribbean music. Enjoy a farewell dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel. DAY 8: DEPART Today after breakfast, board your private motor coach and transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA.

During, you will be asked to provide contact information, a valid passport number, and method of payment. If you do not have a passport yet, don t worry you will still be able to enroll.
