ACTIVITIES A highlight is venturing out on an early morning boat along the Hau River to witness the local fishermen and plantation farmers trade their catch and crops at the Cai Rang floating markets. Other excursions, include morning and afternoon biking tours leaving Can Tho City and heading out into the rural riverside, and plantation areas to visit traditional rice noodle factories and cocoa farms. Town tours offer visitors an opportunity to see Quang Duc Pagoda, Can Tho Museum and Ong Temple. In the evening stroll through the street markets which offer various, home-made local food delicacies. Half and full-day river cruises are also available. The half day sampan cruise offers a beautiful Vietnamese luncheon as the boat meanders through the small canals to the countryside revealing a hidden Khmer sanctuary. Azerai arranges from the property, sunrise and sunset sampan tours through the palm fronds of the islet canals.
GETTING THERE Azerai Can Tho, is a 30-minute drive from the Can Tho Airport located 12 km from the heart of Can Tho city and another boat transfer to the hotel pier is via the islet s canal and takes approximately 10 mins. Flights direct to Can Tho are accessible via Hanoi (2hrs10 mins), Danang (1 hr 30 mins), Phu Quoc (45 mins) and Con Dao (45 mins) Travel from Ho Chi Minh City in comfortable fully air-conditioned, well-equipped SUVs or Executive Class van.
