WHAT IS SATSANG? WHAT IS PRANAM? SELF-RESPONSABILITY Sat means truth and Sanga means meeting. Satsang is a meeting with the truth. During this meeting, seekers receive teachings and blessings from the guru through his words and presence. The master opens the book of life and turns the page again and again to respond to questions the seekers send, speaking on a variety of topics. At the beginning and end of Satsang, musicians help to synchronize the seekers hearts with the guru s heart. Satsang is an experience that goes beyond words and works primarily through silence. Pranam is an act of reverence from the hindu tradition wherein the seeker brings their head down to the Master s feet. By doing so, the seeker is filled with the Shakti energy that comes from the guru s feet. Prem Baba teaches us that the deepest meaning of pranam is surrendering the ego. He says, By bringing our head down to the Master s feet, we surrender our ego to the Master s feet. All participants assume full responsibility for their own health, loss or damage of all personal objects and/or valuables during their time at the hotel. The use of tobacco, alcohol or drugs are not permitted in any part of the hotel. Candles and incense: Please do not leave candles or incense burning in hotel rooms. Hotel items: Kindly do not bring utensils, dishes, cushions or other hotel items from the Satsang Hall or the restaurants to your room. The organization reserves the right to ask participants to leave the Hall and/or the hotel premises in the case of inappropriate behavior or non-compliance with the rules.
