ALL CHANGE NEW TRAIN TIMES FROM SUNDAY 20 MAY From Sunday 20 May 2018 customers across the North of England and into Scotland are set to benefit from improved connectivity, new journey opportunities and enhanced reliability as part of a transformational timetable change by TransPennine Express. This timetable change is a big step which will enable us to begin introducing our new Nova fleet from later this year, meaning extra services, better reliability and more seats.

ACROSS THE PENNINES The May 2018 timetable will see a great deal of change for journeys across the Pennines, with four fast trains per hour departing from Victoria. This will mean a total of six trains per hour across the Pennines which includes calling at new stations between and ; we will start to use the Ordsall Chord meaning that we ll connect s three main stations for the first time; and we will run two trains per hour to Liverpool Lime Street both operating on the Chat Moss line. From May 2018 two trains per hour will call at a number of new intermediate stations between and, and you can see the calling patterns for these services overleaf. These will directly connect many of these stations to and for the first time. We will, except for at peak times, be the sole operator between and which should lead to performance improvements owing to the high performance of the trains operating on that section of our network. 2 3

Piccadilly Stalybridge Greenfield Marsden Deighton Mirfield Ravensthorpe Dewsbury Batley Morley Cottingley (peak hours only) Piccadilly Stalybridge Mossley Slaithwaite Dewsbury Batley Garforth Selby Brough Hull THE NORTH EAST AND LIVERPOOL Two trains per hour will operate between Newcastle and, with all North-East services to the Airport running via the Ordsall Chord calling at all three of s main stations. There will be Sunday enhancements at Middlesbrough meaning an hourly, instead of two hourly service. Liverpool Lime Street Scarborough services will run via the Chat Moss line between Liverpool and Victoria calling at Lea Green, which means that we will no longer call at Liverpool South Parkway, Warrington Central and Birchwood. These stations will be served instead by a service provided by Northern. This will mean a reduction in journey times by up to twenty minutes. Our Liverpool - Newcastle services will start to call at Newton-le-Willows. Please note some services do not call at all intermediate stations. Please consult timetable information on tpexpress.co.uk for details. HULL The May 2018 timetable will provide Hull with improved evening and weekend services, through the provision of hourly direct services to Piccadilly in the evening and a consistent hourly service on Sundays. There are some changes to calling patterns with the introduction of the intermediate stations as set out above, which provide increased connectivity to/from Hull. Later this year Hull services will also benefit from a gradual increase of capacity with services increasing from three to six carriages. MANCHESTER - SHEFFIELD - CLEETHORPES The majority of the improvements to our South Route were delivered in December 2017, including additional weekend and evening services. Going forward our South Route will see a gradual strengthening of trains from three to six carriages starting from December 2018. Our Class 185 trains, which have undergone a 32m refurbishment including free Wi-Fi and our on-board entertainment, Exstream, will continue to serve our South Route for the duration of our franchise. There are some specific changes in May 2018 to note: 05:07 Cleethorpes to Sheffield services runs through to Airport on Saturdays 05:50 Airport to Sheffield runs through to Cleethorpes on Saturdays 19:26 Cleethorpes to Sheffield service runs to Piccadilly Monday Saturday 19:55 Airport to Sheffield service becomes a through service to Cleethorpes Monday - Friday The 22:22 service will be extended from Sheffield to Doncaster seven days a week Following feedback, Habrough gains a uniform set of stops making things easier for customers 20:26 Cleethorpes to Sheffield service will run through to Airport We will no longer call at Chinley 6 7

THE ANGLO -SCOTTISH ROUTE Delays to electrification between and Preston mean our Anglo-Scottish services will continue to run on the route via Wigan. Owing to train path constraints on the congested railway, all our Anglo-Scottish services will run non-stop between Piccadilly and Preston in each direction. They will no longer be serving Oxford Road or Wigan North Western. Please note some services do not call at all intermediate stations. Please consult timetable information on tpexpress.co.uk for details. Glasgow Central Edinburgh Motherwell Haymarket Lockerbie Carlisle Penrith North Lakes Oxenholme Lake District Lancaster Preston Once electrification is complete we will return to running on the route via Bolton May 2018 most direct services to Glasgow will begin calling at Motherwell Piccadilly Airport 8 9
