Official Newsletter of the Roanoke Valley IPMS Chapter Vol. 22, Issue 10 Oct. 2014 2014 ihobby Expo inspiration inside... like this Jonny Quest Dragonfly SST Quest lab jet from Moebius. From the Prez Well it s hard to believe that another year is closing in on us quickly. It seems like just yesterday we were shoveling snow by the inches and feet in bitter cold subzero temperatures only to go into the hot, humid mowing season. Now we are back to looking at fall and winter upon us again. Hopefully we won t have the snow and zero temperatures we had last winter. Of course with winter brings the opportunity to get some of those builds done that we kept putting off in the summer due to outside commitments around the house. With the club getting back into the swing of things with the Shoot Out next year it s even more incentive to get the builds done. Not to mention that Richmond s show and the Fairfax show will be coming around just as quickly. As I wrote this we had the show up in Carlisle, Pennsylvania just a few days away. I did not attend that show due to just spending a week and a half in Florida visiting the Kennedy Space Center and of course the mouse for a few days. I brought some pictures of the retired Atlantis to the meeting for everyone to see and I will passing some along to Tim to put in the Newsletter along with other pictures from the Kennedy Space Center. I had visited the Space Center before but not since the retirement of the Atlantis. I will give a full write up of how the Shuttle is presented for a later newsletter.
