Langtang- valley trip. Langtang Valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains on all sides, Langtang valley is a pasture land, trekker's paradise offering the most beautiful of views. Langtang Valley trek starts from Syabru bensi and takes you through dense pine forests. Another interesting aspect of langtang trek is the chance to see wildlife up-close. The stretch of forest around Ghoda Tabhela in the lower Langtang Valley and below Gosain Kunda is inhabited by red panda, an exotic raccoon-like mammal nearing extinction. Other animals that you may encounter on the way include Himalayan black bear, Ghoral, Grey Languor monkey and leopard. Further up the valley, wild animals like Himalayan Thar, Yak, Musk deer and snow leopard can also be found. Day 01: Kathmandu 1300m-Dhunche 1900m-Syabru Bensi 1700m, Early morning the bus leave from the side of Kathmandu takes about 8 hrs drive to Syabru Bensi. Bus goes through Trisuli Bazar and passes National Park without horn and the road is not too bad. Over night at Guest House.B/L/D Day 02: Syabru Bensi-Land slide 2hrs.-Bamboo 1hrs.-Lama Hotel 2hrs. 2400m. Syabru Bensi is the inhabited by Tamang and Sherpa people. Syabru Bensi is also the get way to Tibet Kerung which takes about 4hrs walking. Your trek follows the Langtang Khola and walking gradually uphill through the Rhododendron forest to Banboo. This trail is famous for many vegetation and Red Panda and Languor. Over night at Guest House. Day 03: Lama Hotel-Ghoda Tabela 1.5hrs 3048m.- Lang Tang Village 4hrs. 3300m. Trails goes gradually up through the rain forest and facing to the wide valley which is not comperable with any part of the trek you ever done. Slowly you are going to trek above the tree lines. Lang tang Lirung is smailing at you and at the same time feel the Micro climate over there. Over night at Guest House. Day 04: Lang tang-singdum 1.5hrs.-Kyanging Gumba 1.5hrs. 3790m. Very short day to hike but remarkable. Monastery,Mane,chorten,Prayer flage,yak,cheese factory and mountain range makes your trek more unforgettable. Over night at Guest House. Day 05: Rest day at Kyanjin Gompa and day hike Tsekuri Ri view point and back to Kyanjin Gompa Day 06: Kyanging-Lama Hotel 6hrs. Trek back to Lama hotel is also pleasant walking as you are facing to the southern area and looking at the missing views which you may left on the way up. Ovetr night at Guest. Day 07: Lama Hotel-Syabru Bensi 5hrs. We are trekking back through the same way.

Equipment List The following list gives you a general idea of the personal items to be brought by your-self for trekking in Nepal Himalaya. The personal items are of individual choice. The most important fact is depending on the year of your trekking days and region. In a supported trek like we offer, heavy items are carried by porters during the trek and personal belongings of the clients they may need for the day like money, water bottle, rain gear, camera, sun cream and toilet paper etc. should be carried by you. So you are briefed to pack items in two different bags. What to wear for Trekking? Lightweight walking boot. If it is new then walk then in to avoid blisters. Also brings spre laces. A pair of track-shoes to wear at night in the camp and when the boots are wet. Warm jackets. Fiberfil or down should be adequate. This is especially necessary during the winter from December to February. A rain-proof jacket with hood or a Poncho. Get the one that is guaranteed waterproof. Woolen shirts and thick sweaters, during the winter these are essential. Thick sweaters can be purchased in Kathmandu. A pair of lightweight/heavyweight trousers, Jeans is unsuitable to wear on the trek. Cheap loose cotton pants are available in Kathmandu. Heavyweight trousers are useful for higher up in the mountain. Thermals underwear are excellent to sleep in the summer nights. In winter thermal underwear are quite invaluable. A tracksuit-useful for wearing in the camp. Two pair of loose fitting long shorts/skirts. Two cotton T-shirts. One lightweight long sleeved-shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sunburn. A woolen hat to wear in the morning and at night. During winter it is essential item. A sun hat and ensure it has wide brim to cover the face and neck. A pair of gloves, leather with lining and woolen is best. A pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp. Two pair of thick/thin woolen socks. Underwear: normal quantity and swim costume.
Recommended personal gear-for Trekkers. Duffle bag or kit bag to carry while trekking. Day pack: This is a small rucksack to carry personal requirement for the day e.g. toilet items, film towel, a boot etc. Water bottle. Snow glass and sunglass. 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean and dirt clothes. Wallet and money belt with compartment for coins. Toiletries with large and smaller towels. Toilet pager can be bought every tea shops. Small hand lamp or torch with spare batteries and bulbs. Snow gaiters essential during winter. A pair of walking poles. Reading materials like books, games items, note book, pen, envelops, diary, pockets knife, trekking map, adequate quantity of passport photograph. Personal Medical supplies.
