Campers will explre the art f digital drawing, painting, cartning, animatin, and special effects in ur state-f-the-art digital art studi. The five sessins are structured where campers can take all five, sessins and build n their skills r take each sessin independatly. Sessins are designed t be taken in ttality, requests t split a sessin will nt be granted. Each camper will take hme a jump drive wristband f their wrk. At the end f each sessin there will be an pen huse f student wrk fr friends and family t attend. Ceramics & Sculpture, Digital Art & Film, and Fashin camps are 2 week sessins, d campers have t attend the full 2 weeks? The prjects are geared t carry ver fr the whle 2 week perid. The prject utcmes are als based n students attending the entire time. It is nt recmmended that campers start r leave mid-sessin. If yu are nt able t make a 2 week cmmitment, then perhaps yu may be interested in enrlling fr Art Explratin Camp with ne week sessins. Q. Wh are the camp staff? The YAA Institute Camp Instructrs and team are trained art prfessinals and educatrs. The campers will be able t experience and explre the entire museum with their assigned grup. Campers g t the museum ne exhibit at a time and stay tgether with their teacher, class and vlunteers. Art Explratin Camp will be held in the classrms within each exhibit, with visits t the exhibit galleries. Preschl ages 3-4 will be in ur licensed Preschl classrm in WnderScapes Early Childhd Gallery, with visits t the exhibit galleries. The dr has a key cde lck s the general public is unable t enter. YAA Ceramics & Sculpture camp will be held in the Ceramics Studi with visits t the exhibit galleries. YAA Drawing & Painting camp will be held in the Painting and Printmaking Studi with visits t the exhibit galleries. YAA Digital Art & Film camp will take place in the Digital Studi with visits t the YAA Institute Studis and exhibit galleries. Fashin Camp will be held in the Painting Studi with visits t the exhibit galleries. Q. Des the Preschl Camp take a nap time? There is a relaxatin time fr ne hur after lunch time. Matts are prvided fr each child and parents are welcme t bring a pillw and blanket, labeled with the child s name fr the week. Children wh are tired can nap and thers can read quietly n their matt. Sft music is played and the lights are dimmed. This allws children a calm and quiet time frm the busyness f the day. Q. What are the age limits fr camp? Campers 3-4 & 5-12 may attend Art Explratin Camp. Campers must have turned 3 years f age n r prir t their first day f camp, and be fully ptty trained. Pre-schl (ages 3-4) camp is nly available n Thursday, June 7 th - Friday, August 3 rd. Preschl Camp is nt available June 4,5,6 nr August 6-14. Campers 5-12 may attend Art Explratin Camp. Campers must have turned a minimum 5 years f age n r prir t their first day f camp. Campers 8-14 may attend specialty camps including Ceramics & Sculpture Camp, Drawing & Painting Camp, and Digital Art & Film. Campers must have turned a minimum f 8 years f age n r prir t their first day f camp. Campers 10-14 may attend specialty camps including Ceramics & Sculpture Camp, Drawing & Painting Camp, Digital Art & Film, and Fashin Design Camp. Campers must have turned a minimum f 10 years f age n r prir t their first day f camp. Q. My Children are 5 years ld and 9 years ld. Can they be tgether? Campers are gruped by age. The Museum will nt prmise the pairing f campers. If parents wuld like children tgether wh are utside f the established age grups, the lder child will have t g t the yunger age grup. If children are the same age and wuld like t be in the same grup, parents are t ntify the camp teacher in the mrning at drp ff. The age grups are nrmally what yu see belw but are subject t change: Ages 3-4 Pre-K Ages 5-6 Grup 1 Ages 6-7 Grup 2 Ages 8 & up Grup 3 Ages 8-14 Ceramic & Sculpture, Drawing & Painting, Digital Art & Film Ages 10-14 Fashin Camp Q. Are campers required t wear YAA T-Shirts? Where can I purchase a YAA T-Shirt? We pefer if campers wear the YAA Camp T-shirts. Fridays are Camp YAA Shirt days. YAA T-shirts are n sale at the Shp YAA Museum Stre fr $12.00 plus tax. Q. What are the drp ff and pickup prcedures? Each day, students must be escrted int the building by a parent/guardian fr check-in. Sign In begins at 8:00am fr Extended Care, and 8:45am fr ther campers. Extended Care (early) begins at 8:00am and csts $70 per week. If yu are planning n registering yur child fr extended care, yu must d s BEFORE his r her first day f camp. Campers drpped ff befre 8:45am, nt enrlled in extended care will be autmatically enrlled at rate f $15.00 per day.

Camp begins at 9:00am. Campers arriving after this time may miss instructin. Parents, emergency cntacts and authrized pick-ups listed n yur registratin will be allwed t pick up yur child with a pht ID. If yu d like t add any ther names, please call and prvide yur security cde t add names. Regular pick up is at 5:00pm. Campers enrlled in Extended Care have until 6:00pm fr pick up. Parents are welcme t pick up befre 5:00pm. The earliest recmmend pick up time is 3:00pm, but keep in mind that campers picked up befre 3:00pm may miss instructin. Thse authrized t pick up must park in a designated parking spt and walk in fr pick up. Please remve wristbands and name tags when yu sign ut yur child. T visit yur child in camp, yu must present yur pht ID and be listed n the Authrized t pick up list. Yu will be allwed t sign ut yur child and sign him/ her back in. Parents r visitrs are nt allwed in the classrm fr the safety f ther campers. Campers MUST be signed ut at the Frnt Desk r Sign In/Out Table, by shwing a valid ID and be listed n the Authrized t pick up list. Campers enrlled in extended care wh are picked after 6:00pm will be autmatically charged a late fee f $5.00 plus $1.00 per minute after. Q. What is the security cde? The security cde is a wrd, shrt phase, r cmbinatin f numbers yu prvide n yur registratin frm. Make sure it is smething yu can remember. If yu wuld like t add anyne t yur authrized pick-up list we will ask yu yur security cde t verify yur identity. Please d nt share this cde with thers. Q. D yu ffer befre/after care? We ffer a cmbined Extended Care which includes early and after care frm 8:00am-9:00am and frm 5:00pm- 6:00pm. The cst is $70.00 per week. Campers drpped ff befre 8:45am will autmatically be enrlled and charged fr extended care at a rate f $15.00 per day. After 5:15pm campers nt enrlled in aftercare will autmatically be enrlled and charged fr extended care at a rate f $15.00 per day. Campers enrlled in extended care wh are picked after 6:00pm will be autmatically charged the $15 extended care fee with an additinal late fee f $5.00 plus $1.00 per minute until the child is picked up. These late fees will be added t yur bill and will require payment immediately. Q. What type f clthes shuld my child wear t camp? Clthes that yu cnsider play clthes that can get messy. We prvide aprns fr art activities but acrylic paint and ther art materials still get n clthes and may stain. Shrt sleeve t-shirts are preferred (lng sleeves get wet r drag thrugh art prjects). Girls shuld nt wear skirts, as campers sit n the flr and play in the exhibits. We recmmend sneakers r clsed-te shes. NO flip flps r wheelies are permitted. Campers are encuraged t wear YAA T-shirts t make them mre visible as part f the camp. They are available fr purchase in the gift shp. Fridays are YAA T-shirt days. Fr kids wh frequently need a change f clthes, we suggest packing extra clthes, in a labeled Ziplc bag with yur child s name, in yur camper s backpack. Please clearly mark yur child s backpack and lunchbx as well. All campers must be fully ptty trained. Q. What if my child needs t take medicine during the camp day? Pack the medicine in a Ziplc bag with dsage cup r spn. Clearly label medicatin with yur child s name, dsage and time. Fill ut Medicatin Frm when yu check yur child int camp. All medicatins fr campers will be stred in the Educatin Office except fr EpiPens which g directly t the teacher. Yur child will be escrted t the Educatin Office t take his/her medicatin. Q. Hw can I reach camp staff during the day? T reach the camp manager, call 954-328-3877 T reach camp staff, yu may call Visitr Services (954) 424-5031. The receptinist at these numbers will cntact the apprpriate museum staff member.

If yu wuld like t speak t yur child s teacher befre camp, please let the sign-in staff knw and they will call the teacher t the frnt desk. Q. What abut lunches and snacks? Campers eat mrning snack between 10a-10:30a and lunch arund 12pm, and afternn snack is taken between 3pm- 3:45pm. Lunch is available fr purchase WEEKLY fr $40 r n Pizza Fridays fr $8. The Lunch fee includes a mrning and afternn snack, a lunch entrée with a snack/ dessert, and beverages. Mndays and Fridays lunch is prvided by Pizza Machine and Tuesday-Thursday frm SuperDuper Grub, the museum café. Campers with fd allergies r needing a specific diet shuld bring a lunch, a drink & tw healthy snacks in a labeled lunch bag r bx. Please remind camp staff at check-in t give yur child a green wristband identifying child s allergy. Sibling lunches shuld be separated, since grups may nt eat tgether. D nt pack anything that needs t be refrigerated r heated. Campers will nt be able t use vending machines during camp. Vending machine purchases must be made with parents befre r after camp. If yur child is allergic t any fd item, please make sure that they receive a green wrist band, with their allergy clearly marked, upn check-in. A green wrist band lets yur child s teacher and ther camp staff knw that there are allergies t be aware f. There are times when fd items are used in camp prjects. If yur child has a fd allergy, please see weekly camp schedule t determine if fd items will be used. Please let yur child s teacher knw if yur child is allergic t fd items being used that week. Q. What shuld my child bring t camp? Fr kids wh frequently need a change f clthes, we suggest packing extra clthes in a Ziplc bag labeled with yur child s name, in yur camper s backpack. All campers must be fully ptty trained. If yur child is 3-4 years ld please bring a blanket and pillw with their names n the tag fr relaxatin time. Wednesday is Mvie Day. Students shuld bring a pillw r blanket in a labeled bag. Mvies are rated, G, PG r PG 13. If yu prefer yur child des nt watch the mvie please ntify yur child s teacher in persn. If this is the case, yur child will jin anther grup r is welcme t be picked up early. Fridays are water day. See belw fr waterplay/ utdr play attire. Label all backpacks and persnal items with yur child s name, ie lunch bags, sweaters/jackets tags, and Ziplc bags with clthing. Q. What shuldn t my child bring t camp? Cell Phnes If yu require yur child t keep a cell phne, then it is imperative that it is used fr emergency purpses and nt used during camp. Tys and Electrnic items (videgames, tablets, ipds, cell phnes) We will have lts f fun activities t keep kids busy. When kids bring their wn tys t camp, they may get damaged, lst, r cause distractin r cnflict. Yung At Art Museum is nt respnsible fr lst r damaged persnal items, including but nt limited t tys, electrnic devices, clthing, lunch bxes, water bttles, etc. If tys r electrnic devices are fund in yur child s pssessin, the teacher will ask fr yur child t leave the items in his/her backpack r the items may need t be stred in the Educatin ffice until the end f the day. If the items are cntinually causing prblems then the teacher will ntify the parent that the item shuld nt be sent back t camp. Mney; unless it is a designated Shp YAA Gift Shp Day. We discurage campers frm bringing mney. The weekly schedule will nte shpping days. Mney will need t be labeled in a sealed envelpe r Ziplc bag with yur child s name, teacher name and ttal amunt enclsed, and given t a staff member during check-in, in the mrning. Change will be given back t the parents at check ut. Q. What ther activities are ffered as part f the Camp day? Campers will als participate in Daily Highlights. These are additinal activities planned within the camp day. At the beginging f each week campers will cme up with a grup name and a set f classrm rules, these rules will include: Listen t teachers and fllw directins Keep hands, feet, and bjects t self at all times Use plite and helpful language at all times Treat teachers, classmates, and the space, wrk, and prperty f classmates with respect Use inside vices and walking feet in the museum Handle supplies, equipment, and each ther with care Stay with teachers, staff, and Museum grup. ShpYAA Museum stre days give ur campers a chance t visit and purchase items in the Museum Gift Shp n Wednesdays during mvie day. Q. What is Library Explratin Day? Campers will explre the library n Thursdays, schedule subject t change. Campers will be allwed t put their bks n hld at the library reservatin desk. Parents can check ut their child s bks befre r after pick up in the afternn. Campers can participate in the summer reading prgram and be eligible fr prizes. Q. What will my child need t bring/wear n water play/ utdr play days? On Fridays campers participate in water play/ utdr play days, weather permitting, schedule subject t change. Campers will be allwed t play in the art curtyards, and grassy areas f the YAA campus. YAA camp des nt take fieldtrips r leave the YAA grunds. On Water Play/ Outdr play days campers shuld bring: A swimsuit and change f clthes Twel Sunscreen (Please apply in the mrning befre camp. We will help students apply sunscreen in the afternn) Extra bttle f water, labeled with child s name Hat, sunglasses, and any ther prtective clthing yu have yur child wear in the sun. Make sure that all items listed abve are in a bag, clearly labled with the child s name Q. What if I frget artwrk, lunch bx r ther belngings at YAA n Friday? All artwrk, lunch bxes and ther belngings are kept at the museum fr 1 week after the last day f each sessin. Artwrk and belngings must be picked up within the week. Unfrtunately, items left after a week will be dispsed f due t space restrictins. Q. Des the museum ffer a discunt fr multiple campers? The museum ffers a 10% sibling discunt. Discunts are applied t prgrams f equal r lesser value and cannt bre cmbined with any ther discunts r ffers.

Q. Des YAA Camp ffer make-up classes, r refunds? There are n refunds, transfers r make-ups fr absence, withdrawals, n-shws, r dismissals. Q. Can I transfer frm ne week t anther? All Transfer requests must be submitted in writing tw weeks prir t start date. Transfer apprval requires a $25.00 fee per child and will be made depending n space availability.
