THURSDAY NIGHT Alisha and Matthew clean up real nice and head to the top of the ship for the Fathom dance party social event. FRIDAY AFTERNOON Dominican Republic Alisha comes alongside a local as part of a large bucket brigade to put in a new concrete floor for a local Dominican family. We could go on and on about all you can do with Princess Cruises + Fathom, but don t take our word for it, see for yourself. TUESDAY EVENING MONDAY MORNING Relax Mom Deana and Daughter Kaila spend some solid one-on-one time, reconnecting, relaxing, and enjoying the sunset. Cohort Meeting Kim meets her Fathom guide and other fellow travelers. She shares how travel can transform. WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON St. Maarten Kim listens to the music of the island and learns how art is helping to heal locals. MAY & AUGUST PRINCESS CAYS ST. MAARTEN ST. THOMAS Princess Cays Princess Cays, Bahamas, is an exclusive Princess port of call where you can enjoy miles and miles of private white-sand beaches. This is the perfect day to sit by the sea, walk in the waves and soothe the soul in preparation for Fathom activities in the next ports. St. Maarten St. Maarten is an island with a unique status: in a treaty dating back to the 1600s, the southern part (Sint Maarten) was granted to the Netherlands and the northern part (Saint Martin) to France. Never have two neighboring countries lived in such beautiful harmony. St. Thomas St. Thomas, known as one of the more cosmopolitan of the US Virgin Islands, offers another slice of paradise with stunning mountain scenery and crystalline waters. The harbor is one of the most scenic in all of the Caribbean. Both St. Maarten and St. Thomas continue to recover and rebuild from back-to-back hurricanes, and Fathom is partnering with local organizations to see how travelers can best lend a hand.

A fitting term for the welcome you ll receive here and reminder to value life's most precious gifts - family, love and honor. Roatan Roatan is located near the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest after Australia s Great Barrier Reef, and is renowned for scuba diving and snorkeling to discover beautiful tropical fish, sea walls and ship wrecks. During crab season, island blue crabs come out by the thousands, and climb trees to eat fruit. Inland, where parrots, iguanas and monkeys thrive in the vibrant rainforests. Belize Belize offers diversity in rich cultural traditions, landscape, and even cuisine. Enjoy the Belize Barrier Reef or the lush jungle, famous for Mayan ruins. Taste foods inspired by deep traditions rooted in Mestizo, Maya, Garifuna or even Creole. There is so much to discover here! Cozumel The East coast of Mexico is famous for many things. For example, San Gervasio is the largest Mayan ruins site and was a place of worship to the goddess of fertility and love, Ixchel. At one time, every Mayan woman was expected to make the journey here to make offering and pay tribute. In 1961, Cozumel was declared to be one of the most spectacular diving sites, since then people from all over the world have traveled here to discover its natural wonders and mystique. NOVEMBER EASTERN CARIBBEAN AND PUERTO RICO: PRINCESS CAYS SAN JUAN AMBER COVE GRAND TURK Princess Cays Princess Cays, Bahamas, is an exclusive Princess port of call where you can enjoy miles and miles of private white-sand beaches. San Juan Old San Juan features cobblestone streets lined with brightly colored Spanish colonial buildings and 16th-century landmarks, including massive fortresses with sweeping ocean views, as well as a bayside promenade. Hit hard by Hurricane Maria in 2017, most parts of the island have made tremendous progress with clean up, though there is still much work to do in many communities. The tourism industry and residents are committed to continue sharing the beauty of Puerto Rico and encourage travelers to come to the city. Amber Cove Amber Cove is located on the quiet northern coast of the Dominican Republic, which was given the Puerto Plata label by Christopher Columbus when, upon arriving in 1492, he noted that the mountain top appeared silver because it was often foggy. The region s rich history is revealed in museums, significant sites, unexpected Victorian architecture and food infused with many cultures. Grand Turk The capital island of the Turks and Caicos archipelago, Grand Turk is dotted with the remains of salt ponds and windmills from the island s sea salt industry. A 19th-century lighthouse is perched on a rocky bluff in the north and wild horses and donkeys canter along the beaches. Hurricanes Irma and Maria caused severe damage across the island, but a great deal of recovery has already been completed.

Impact Guides are more than just guides... They are memory makers, change agents, entertainers and educators, who are passionate about travel and exploration. They will share your journey and ensure that every traveler is prepared, comfortable and confident about their trip's cultural immersion and impact activities Our talented team is diverse: Some have lived at sea as cruise directors for ocean liners or first mates on schooners. Others have worked with charities and non-governmental organizations all over the world. Some have secret identities as artists, sociologists, dancers, anthropologists or professional bon vivants. Most are multi-lingual. And while their backgrounds vary, the common thread that ties them together is an uncompromising passion to inspire others to make the world a better place for everyone. During each trip, Impact Guides engage with travelers day and evening throughout the journey. They help to foster relationships and build the small Fathom community within the larger group of travelers on the Princess ship to enable a fully transformational experience. They also lead a wide selection of onboard programming from providing tips regarding the cultures and customs of destination countries to facilitating personal development workshops to inspiring travelers to let down their hair while enjoying entertainment each night.

At Fathom, our goal is to develop truly authentic and relevant Fathom shore experiences, so the process takes a little longer than normal and activities constantly change. We partner not only with the local tour operator but also with local communities, governments and organizations to provide impact options that will benefit the people and places we visit. Because we put our communities first, our timing is dependent on the evolving needs and aspirations of the local people and organizations. And, because we need to be flexible to be most helpful, we sometimes don't know the exact details of shore experiences until weeks before. For example, in several upcoming ports, we ll focus on coming alongside locals to help rebuild from the 2017 hurricane season; in other countries we will offer activities where you get your hands dirty doing beach clean up to preserve turtle nesting sites or building cement floors for a family that has never had one. But we will also provide options that are less physical as we support local schools, students and educational programs and participate in the creation of organic chocolate with a women s cooperative. While we might not yet be able to share specifics for every location, what we can promise is we will only build shore excursions in response to real community needs so travelers make sustainable impacts and connections. Join us and use your hands and heart to travel deeper and have a whole lot of fun! On Board Shortly after you board the ship, you ll be invited to meet with a group of Fathom travelers and your impact guide in what we call a cohort group. You will form strong bonds with like-minded travelers as you get together during your journey to share learnings and experiences from your time on the ground and compare notes on the workshops you attend on ship. You ll also have the chance to chat over cocktails at events devoted to Fathomites. On sea days, you can choose from a variety of fascinating and interactive enrichment programming exclusive to Fathom delivered by impact guides and guest speakers. Or, you may choose to sit by the pool, have a massage or meditate in a quiet corner on deck. It s entirely up to you. At the time of booking, ask for the Fathom Travel Deep Experience package. 3. Pack your bags and get ready for a voyage you won t forget! The Fathom Travel Deep Experience costs $200.00 in addition to your cruise fare (up to 3 per person depending on the itinerary). This includes your Fathom shore excursions, exclusive cocktail events, thoughtfully tailored programs onboard, hosted dinners, and Fathom swag. 2. What kinds of activities will we be doing onshore? To develop a truly authentic and relevant Fathom shore experience the process takes a little longer than normal. We partner not only with the local tour operator but also with local communities and partners to provide an impact option that will benefit the people and places that we visit. Because we put our communities first and above all other things, sometimes we don't know the exact details of the shore experience until weeks before. Our timing is highly dependent on the different needs/wants of the local people and organizations. However... What we can promise is impact, connection, and a whole lot of fun! Join us and use your hands and heart to make your travel meaningful! 3. How physically strenuous are the activities ashore? The majority of our activities are a moderate activity level. In some destinations we are able to offer an alternate option at a high activity level. Please email us at community@fathom.org if there is someone in your party with specific needs. 4. What kinds of activities will we be doing onboard? Welcome cocktail reception our first night onboard we will host a welcome reception to allow everyone a chance to meet one another. At this reception we will provide important information and present you with your Fathom swag! Be sure to attend. Cohort groups are designed to give you important information and help acquaint you with the destinations we will visit, provide an idea of what to expect ashore, and provide a space to connect with your fellow Fathom travelers. Attendance is highly recommended. Fathom programming we offer thoughtfully tailored workshops to help enhance your experience ashore. Topics vary by cruise but include a variety of topics including storytelling, empathy, mindfulness, and more! Hosted dinners group dinners are hosted each sea day evening. These dinners offer a chance for fellow travelers to connect with one another about their experiences. Open Mic Storytelling Night Whether you re a seasoned storyteller or you re a little shy around the mic, everyone has a story that has the potential to inspire others. We set the stage, you bring the stories. Our last night at sea will fill you with inspiration to take home. Princess Cruises Entertainment In addition to Fathom programming onboard, Princess offers a wide variety of entertainment for you to grab a new Fathom friend and go enjoy! 5. Is this experience kid friendly? Do you offer youth programming? Absolutely! Families have found Fathom to be an excellent experience. There is no minimum age for children as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. While we do not currently offer Fathom youth programming onboard, Princess Cruises does offer youth programming onboard their ships. 6. What should I pack? For activities ashore with us, we recommend close-toed shoes and clothes you don t mind getting dirty. We also recommend sun screen, insect repellent, hat, water bottle, and a rain jacket. Additionally cruises typically have two formal nights onboard so don t forget your favorite dress up outfit. The rest is up to you! 7. Can I bring donations? If we are able to deliver donations on your voyage you will be notified via email prior to your cruise with a list of specific items needed by one of our partner organizations. Please refrain from bringing donations that are not noted in communications to you. 8. What is a cohort group? Cohort groups are smaller groups within our Fathom group, think of it as your neighborhood within our Fathom community. Each cohort group is led by a Fathom impact guide. Cohort groups meet throughout the week to help give you information about the destinations we will visit and prepare you for your journey. These groups meet onboard and do not determine your groupings on activities ashore. 9. How do the group dinners work? Group dinners will be offered on sea days. The maximum reservation number will be listed in your daily newsletter which gets delivered to your cabin each evening for the following day. Seats are first come first serve. If our area fills up, you re welcome to join other Fathom travelers at a separate table. 10. Have you seen a real impact within the communities? Yes! We carefully select partners and activities ashore in the destinations we visit. Fathom guides the creation of all activities around three pillars- social, environmental and economic. We work with organizations already in existence in the places we go, and come alongside them to work towards goals they have set in place for themselves, to ensure that we are contributing to impact that is sustainable for the communities we visit. 11. Where is Fathom cruising in 2018? Our efforts are currently based in the Caribbean and we will visit a total of ten different ports this year.
