President s Message Hello REMTC. Wow, what a start to the touring season we have had. It is so nice to see everyone out on the roads with your T s. The combined Model T and Horseless Carriage tour was a huge hit. A very special thanks to the Faraudo s for opening their beautiful home to us. The food was incredible, the home was amazing and the friendship was second to none. Then Bill and Fern Newlin led us on a beautiful tour through the Alexander Valley and returned us all safely to the Faraudo s home for a bountiful pork lunch. Who could ask for more! Special thanks to the Horseless Carriage Club for joining us on this tour; It is always nice to see other cars and meet with old friends. Just a quick reminder that the annual T and A friendship tour is on Aug 18; Please let us know if you are coming so we can let the Model A club know. They are putting on lunch for us and need a count of how many are coming. One more thing, the club overnight tour is on Aug 23 thru Aug 26. Please RSVP if you are coming and please make your reservations at the hotel. The rate will go up after Aug 8, so book fast to get the good rate. Thank you so much, Chris Ed s Notes July 4th We had a busy July. Starting with the Kenwood Parade on July 4th. Not too many of the T s were available but the ones that came had a wonderful pancake breakfast at the church and thanks to Linda Salomon, it was free to the participants. Mal & Gwen Brown, Pete and Ginny Rich, Chris Rich & Joan Henderson, Rich & Betsy Randolph brought their T s for the short parade that draws hundreds of people. Hard to believe that many people could fit on the parade route of about 2 blocks. July 15th and July 21th The next two events pictures are featured on pages 7-10. The Montgomery Village Car Show and the Vine to Swine tour. Special Thanks to Jeanne Nelson Jeanne brought the scrapbooks to the last two events and they were enjoyed by all. However, it is a heavy duty job to remember to bring and then to carry large scrapbooks to all events. Therefore, Jeanne will only bring the books, on request, to meetings and events. Photographic duties have fallen to Jeanne also and we really appreciate the pictures for the newsletter. Anyone can submit photos to the newsletter which will then be sent to our webmaster, Steve Vining to use on the web. The photos can be on a flash drive (preferred) or a CD/ DVD. Photos should be of high resolution for both purposes and should be submitted to the editor by the 25th of the month. Ed... 3

Morning Greetings Dave & Sherry Haase Andy & Jeannine Clary Pete & Ginny Rich Montgomery Village Car Show Vince Gregoire needs to be congratulated for putting on the event with 20 Model T s and all their owners dressed in vintage attire. We gave baloons to the kids, were treated royally by the merchants, ate some wonderful breakfast and lunches, courtesy of the Village, and the ladies shopped to their hearts content. The Model T s were scattered throughout the cental area and they really got the attention from the public. It all went off flawlessly thanks to Vince and Joan Gregoire. In order to have an early T on display, Steve Vining brought his 1909 without the engine, as it was being repaired. The speedsters looked wonderful all lined up in their shiney best. The Nelson s has both of their beautiful speedsters on display. The Haase s had their speedster and The Liberty Roadster pickup with dave s beautiful bell on display! We all had a great time. Vine to Swine Tour The cars arrived to breakfast and gin fizzes at Con & Fran Faraudo s lovely Victorian home. A whole pig was barbecuing on a spit in the capable hands of Con and Jim Bettiga. The gin fizzes were aptly being blended by Marv Hall. After admiring the HCCA cars and catching up with friends, Bill Newlin held the drivers meeting and handed out directions to a winery in the Alexander Valley. Bill took us on backroads that most of us had never been on before. 11
We arrived at the delorimier Winery and were warmly greeted by the staff who was well acquainted with Bill Newlin. A delightful young man gave us a tour of the vineyard and the rest of the winery s operations. They had a nice selection of cheeses, fruit and crackers to augment our wine tasting. All their wines were very good but the primitivo was exceptional. I would say that more than a few bottles found their way into our T s. Back at the Faraudo s, pot luck dishes and that piggie that didn t stay home was served for all to enjoy. Big thanks to Con & Fran and Bill and Fern for putting on such a well planned and enjoyable tour. you guys are the best!! Special thanks to Jack Mulkey & Nick Coy for trouble truck duties The cooks Con & Jim Our trusty trouble truck guys Nick & Jack 12
