Day 1 Barcelona Meet and greet upon arrival at Barcelona Airport and transfer to your Hotel. Check into Hotel by 1400hrs. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 2 Barcelona Breakfast at Hotel. Today is a Guided City Tour of Barcelona. Visit the Gothic quarter on a guided tour and see the ancient Cathedral. See the famous Ramblas, with its open-air market and cafes.
In contrast to the old part of town, drive along the broad, elegant avenues of the L' Eixample district to admire Gaudi s extraordinary unfinished creation, the Sagrada Familia. Then visit all of Spain in one park at the Pueblo Español. Returning to your hotel you will drive past the Olympic Games site and will enjoy glittering views over the harbor. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 3 Barcelona Valencia Breakfast at Hotel. Follow the Costa Dorada South, stopping in Peñìscola to view the white-walled cottages clustered around the sea-lapped Castle used in the film El Cid. Continue past the famous orange groves to Valencia, your home for the night. Arrive in Valencia and proceed for an Orientation Tour of Valencia. Your driver will show you the City Gates of Serranos and Cuarte, the Gothic Generalidad Palace, El Miguelete Cathedral with its octagonal bell tower, and the ultra modern Center of Arts and Sciences. Check in hotel. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 4 Valencia Granada Breakfast at Hotel. Leave for the Costa Blanca, passing through the stately waving palm tree forests of Elche and past the lemon groves in Murcia. Drive through the superb scenery of the Sierra Nevada with magnificent mountain views on all sides, and cross the Mora Pass to reach glorious Granada. Here, overlooking the town, awaits one of the most remarkable fortresses ever built, the Alhambra.
Explore this exquisite Palace; a fantasy of stone cut lace, arabesque gardens and fountains, built as a citadel by the Moors in the 13th Century. Also visit the exotic Water Gardens of the Generalife and the Royal summer residence. Check into Hotel. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 5 Granada Seville Breakfast at Hotel. Take a Guided Tour of Granada. In this city the Eurasian, Iberian, Phonetician, Roman, Arab and Christian cultures have left their imprint, making it one of the wonders of the world. It was Spain's last Islamic Kingdom inhabited jointly by Muslims, Jews and Christians. The Alhambra (Entrance Included) is the main jewel of this beautiful City. Visit the Royal Palace, Alcazaba and the surrounding Palaces, gardens, patios and Towers.
An outstanding feature are the Gardens of Generalife (Entrance Included), which was the summer residence for the King. It s a combination of water springs, gardens and architecture of indescribable beauty. No surprise, it is considered as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world. In the afternoon, proceed to Seville. Check in Hotel. In the evening we will enjoy a Flamenco Show with dinner. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 6 Seville Cordoba Breakfast at Hotel. This morning you will enjoy a Guided Tour of Seville. Seville has a distinctive character and presence which a local guide will unfold. Visit the massive Cathedral. Burial place of Christopher Columbus and enriched with the spoils of the New World. Pass the slender Giralda Tower, once the minaret of the Great Mosque.
See the Alcazar and tour the fashionable Santa Cruz Quarter with its flower decked wrought iron balconies. Afternoon we depart to Cordoba. Arrive and check into Hotel. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 7 Cordoba Madrid Breakfast at Hotel. Take the Morning Guided City Tour of Cordoba starting at the Moorish City of Cordoba. See the famous 2000-year-old bridge before a guided visit to the magnificent Mezquita, an 8th Century Mosque with a Christian Church built inside it. Later proceed for transfer to Madrid. We will cross the Sierra Morena Mountains and the plains of La Mancha, following in the steps of Don Quixote, on your way back to Madrid. Check into Hotel. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 8 Madrid Breakfast at Hotel. Today enjoy a Sightseeing Tour of Madrid along the noble Avenues to see the Statue of Cervantes fictional hero, Don Quixote, in the Plaza de España. Continue past the Cibeles Fountain and the Parliament, and cross the Puerta del Sol.
Take time out to relax at a cafe or shop in the boutiques of Serrano. Dinner at Restaurant. Overnight at Hotel. Day 9 Vienna Breakfast at Hotel. Day free at leisure until departure transfer to Airport. Service ends.
