DAY 1: USA - QUÉBEC CITY (Saturday) Departure from Ashland High School to Québec City, Canada, Province capital, listed by UNESCO as a World Patrimonial Treasure. Your Forum Tour Manager will greet you at your hotel in Québec City and remain with you throughout your entire experience. Stretch your legs as you start exploring the 400-year-old city on a guided walking tour. Discover the secrets of Old Québec as you journey through St-Louis and St-Jean streets, see the breathtaking Chateau Frontenac and explore the fortified city. Later, wander through the enchanting Quartier du Petit Champlain, the oldest shopping district in North-America; don t miss the famous Escalier Casse-Cou and Wall of History. Dinner at an authentic Québécois restaurant. After dinner you will go back to your hotel and enjoy a brightly lit heated swimming pool overlooking the exterior scenery. Night accommodation in Québec City. DAY 2: CÔTE DE BEAUPRÉ (Sunday) Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. This morning, discover the magnificent Parc de la Chute Montmorency, with falls higher than those of Niagara Falls. Climb the 387 steps for a different view of the falls! Stop at Chez Marie bakery where you ll learn how bread is made and taste delicious maple butter. Enter Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica, a true medieval inspiration and Québec s most beautiful church. In the afternoon, visit the Copper Museum. Watch a demonstration of Repoussé work, then roll up your sleeves and become an artist yourself by making your own copper piece. For dinner, experience the Quebecois tradition of sugaring off at a local Cabane à Sucre. Tour the sugar shacks, enjoy a lumberjack meal and learn traditional dances and folk songs. Return to Québec city for night accommodation. DAY 3: QUÉBEC CITY (Monday) Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Are you ready for some adventure? It s time for Dog Sledding! Begin with a visit to the gentle huskies followed by an introduction to basic dog sledding techniques. Then embark on a ride of approximately 20 minutes through wooded trails. Next, traverse the mighty St. Lawrence River on a Ferry to enjoy a sailor s view of the Plains of Abrahams and Chateau Frontenac. Then head to the old port and have some free time for lunch! Why not grabbing something at the bustling Marché du Vieux Port? Continue with the Musée de la Civilisation. Located in Québec s old port, with over 10 exhibits at all times including a permanent exhibit of Québec, it is one of Canada s most impressive museums. Then, learn about curling - a popular sport in Québec province! Known as
the roaring game, the stones make a roaring sound as they slide down the rink. Try your hand at curling at the Curling Club. Have dinner at a local restaurant. Then, go on a Ghost Tour. Meet the ghost of a famous criminal from the time of New France and follow him through the old Québec. Discover more about the wretched crimes, arrests and executions that happened centuries ago. Let the lugubrious atmosphere that reigns inside the walls of the old city invade you once the sun is gone. Return to your hotel for night accommodation. DAY 4: QUÉBEC CITY (Tuesday) This morning, enjoy traditional croissants and hot chocolate at Restaurant Le Cochon Dingue. Slide on the famous Glissades de la Promenade on Dufferin terrace outside the impressive Château Frontenac. Enjoy some last minute shopping at the Galeries de la Capitale, the largest commercial complex in eastern Canada that even has a roller coaster!
