HeliTSA Overview HeliTSA is a global provider of rotary maintenance training. Founded by two highly experienced maintenance engineers, we are committed to providing highly practical training in an engaging, professional environment. We established HeliTSA to elevate the quality of rotary maintenance training not just in Australia, but also around the world. As maintenance engineers with extensive industry experience, we truly understand the practical knowledge and experiences you need from your course. Upon launching in 2017, we are offering AW139 B1.3 and B2 courses, and B1.3 exclusion removals (E1, E4 and E5). These courses are delivered in partnership with Aviation Australia and LifeFlight. By partnering with these globally respected organisations, we are able to transform the way maintenance training is delivered. In our courses, you can expect hands-on training. For practical training components, we get you out of the classroom and into LifeFlight s working hangars. Having access to these facilities was our goal when starting HeliTSA. With this practical experience, you will have the skills and experience you need to hit the ground running when you complete your training.
Your AW139 Training Our AW139 B1.3 training is a full-licence outcome course approved under Part 147 by Australia s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). These approvals give you confidence that you re receiving world-class quality training. As maintenance engineers, we want you to complete this course with the skills you need to work confidently on the AW139. We also understand that sitting in a classroom isn t enough to truly understand the maintenance requirements of an aircraft. That s why your B1.3 course will involve theory and practical on course components. To deliver this course to the highest professional standard, we have partnered with Aviation Australia and LifeFlight. All theory elements of training are delivered at the Brisbane Airport precinct in Aviation Australia s purpose-built training facilities. These world-class facilities were only opened in September 2016. Practical on course training takes place in LifeFlight s working line maintenance hangar. When possible, we also arrange for students to attend LifeFlight s heavy maintenance facility where you are able to assist with deeper-level activities. To ensure you get the right amount of hands-on experience, we cap our classes at 12 students. This allows us to dedicate more time to each member of the class and deliver interactive and engaging courses.

What to expect Campus location HeliTSA is located at the Brisbane Airport precinct. This is approximately 15 km from the Brisbane CBD. Visiting Brisbane Brisbane is Australia s third-largest city. A laid-back city with 283 days of sunshine each year, it s the ideal place for a working holiday. Outside of training you can enjoy Brisbane s vibrant dining, sporting and cultural scenes. And on weekends, the beaches of the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast are just an hours drive away. Accommodation Brisbane has a variety of accommodation options to suit your needs. Choose to stay at hotels within the Brisbane Airport precinct or stay in the city, which is a short 20-minute drive from the campus. We are in the final stages of negotiating deals for our students, so please advise us when you enrol if you require any assistance with booking your accommodation. Airbnb and shared accommodation We understand that staying in a hotel for an extended period of time can become mundane. If you would prefer to stay somewhere with more home comforts, you can secure a place through Airbnb for Business. If you are interested in sharing Airbnb accommodation with other course members, please let us know and we will make arrangements. Car hire Geographically, Brisbane is quite spread out. Hiring a car is the easiest way to get around and is also economical when compared with the price of taking the airport train to and from the campus each day. Car hire is available at both the international and domestic terminal with all the major car rental companies offering their services. We are not affiliated with any company, but we suggest you compare all the companies available.
