STAGECOACH SERVICES Northern Pride Parade 2017 in Newcastle City Centre on Saturday 22 July 2017 affecting all City Centre services Stagecoach Services 1, 10/11, 12, 30/31, 32/32A, 35, 36, 38, 39/40, 62/63, 71/72, 87, 100, X24, X34, X47, X55, X63, X77, X78, X82, X87, X88 are proposed to divert as follows:- Service 1 Service 1 to Coach Lane will run as normal route to Market Street, then via Market Street East, Hole in the Wall, New Bridge Street, Clarence Street, Stoddart Street, Warwick Street then normal Service 1 to Benwell/Slatyford: Normal route to Warwick Street then via Stoddart Street, Clarence Street, New Bridge Street, Hole in the Wall, Market Street East, Market Street, then normal Service 1 customers should use the bus stops on Grainger Street and Market Street East (outside Carliol House and outside the Magistrates Court), as these will be served in both directions. Service 10/11 Service 10/11 to North Kenton will follow a normal route to Market Street, then via Market Street East, Hole in the Wall, Central Motorway, Radial Road and then normal Service 10/11 to West Denton Park/West Denton Shops will run as normal route to Radial Road, then direct via Central Motorway East, Hole in the Wall, Market Street East, Market Street, then normal Service 10/11 customers are advised to use the bus stops on Grainger Street and Market Street East (outside Carliol House and outside the Magistrates Court), as these will be served in both directions. Service 12 Service 12 to Walker/Wallsend: Normal route to Barrack Road, then divert via St James Boulevard, Westgate Road, Grainger Street, Market Street, Market Street East, Hole in the Wall, New Bridge Street, then back to normal Service 12 to Fenham: Normal route to New Bridge Street/ Hole in the Wall, then divert via Market Street, Grainger Street, Newgate Street and Gallowgate the normal Eastbound buses will stop at Grainger Street and Market Street (opposite the old Tourist Information office). Customers travelling eastbound are advised to use the bus stops on Barrack Road (outside Football Ground) or Market Street, as these will be served throughout the closures. Westbound Service 12 customers should use the bus stops on Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court), Newgate Street (Premier Inn) or on Gallowgate as normal. Service 30/31 Service 30/31 to Fawdon/Montagu Estate will follow normal route to Market Street, then via Market Street East, Hole in the Wall, Central Motorway East, Great North Road and then normal Service 30/31 to Whickham View/Fenham will run on normal route to Great North Road, then via Central Motorway, Hole in the Wall, Market Street East, Market Street and then normal Service 30/31 customers should use the bus stops on Grainger Street and Market Street East (outside Carliol House and outside the Magistrates Court), as these will be served in both directions.
Service 32/32A Services to Walker will run on the normal route to Richardson Road, then non-stop via Leazes Park Road, Strawberry Place and St James Boulevard to Westgate Road where the stop at Cowen s Monument will be observed. Services will travel on to Grainger Street and Market Street before running onto Market Street East where the service re-joins the normal Service 32/32A towards Benwell and Kenton will run from Market Street via Grainger Street, Newgate Street, Gallowgate, Strawberry Place and Leazes Park Road, before returning to the normal route on Richardson Road. Customers for eastbound service 32/32A are advised to use the bus stops at Cowen s Monument or Market Street as these stops will be served during the closure. Customers travelling towards Kenton/Benwell are advised to use the bus stops at Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court), Newgate Street (Premier Inn) or Gallowgate. Service 35 Service 35 to Red House Farm will commence all journeys from Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court), then run via Pilgrim Street, Swan House roundabout and Central Motorway before re-joining the normal route at the Great North Road. Service 35 to City Centre will follow the normal route to Great North Road and then run via the Central Motorway, Hole in the Wall before terminating on Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court). Service 35 customers are advised to use the bus stops on Great North Road, as they will always be served. Service 36 Service 36 to Newcastle will follow the normal route to Richardson Road then run via Leazes Lane and Strawberry Place before terminating on Barrack Road (opposite the football ground). Service 36 towards Fenham will commence service on Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) before continuing along Barrack Road and re-joining the normal route on Fenham Hall Drive. Service 36 customers are advised to use the stop on Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) as this bus stop will be served throughout the closure. Service 38 Service 38 to Freeman Hospital will run as normal to Market Street, before travelling via Market Street East, Hole in the Wall, New Bridge Street, Clarence Street, Stoddart Street, Portland Road, Sandyford Road then onto its normal Service 38 to Whickham View will follow the normal route to Sandyford Road, then via Portland Road, Stoddart Street, Clarence Street, New Bridge Street, Hole in the Wall, Market Street East, Market Street, then again returning to the normal Service 38 customers should use the bus stops on Grainger Street and Market Street East (outside Carliol House and outside the Magistrates Court), as these will be served in both directions. Service 39/40 Service 39/40 to Walker/Wallsend will be on normal route to Barrack Road, before diverting via St James Boulevard, Westgate Road, Grainger Street, Market Street, Market Street East, and Hole in the Wall before re-joining the normal route at New Bridge Street. Service 39/40 to Chapel House/Dumpling Hall will be following the normal route to New Bridge Street/ Hole in the Wall before diverting along Market Street, Grainger Street then running via Newgate Street, Gallowgate then back to normal Eastbound Service 39/40 customers are advised to use the bus stops on Barrack Road (outside Football Ground), Grainger Street or Market Street East (outside Carliol House) as these will be
served throughout the closures. 39/40 customers travelling towards Chapel House/Dumpling Hall should use the bus stops on Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court), Newgate Street (Premier Inn) or Gallowgate as these stops will be served throughout the closure. Service X47 Service X47 to City Centre will run along the A167 as normal before diverting via Grandstand Road, Ponteland Road, Hunter s Road and Richardson Road. X47 will then travel via Leazes Park Road and Strawberry Place to Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) where it will terminate. Service X47 to Kingston Park will commence service from Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) before running via Ponteland Road, Cow Hill Intersection, re-joining the normal route towards Kingston Park. Service 62/63 Service 62/63 to Killingworth will run via normal route to Barrack Road, then divert along St James Boulevard, Westgate Road, Grainger Street, Market Street, Market Street East, Hole in the Wall, returning to its normal route on New Bridge Street,. Service 62/63 to Chapel House and North Walbottle will follow normal route to New Bridge Street Hole in the Wall, then travel via Market Street and Grainger Street before diverting and running via Newgate Street, Gallowgate then back to normal Eastbound Service 62/63 customers should use the bus stops on Barrack Road (outside Football Ground), Grainger Street or Market Street East (outside Carliol House) as these will be served throughout the closures. Westbound customers should use the bus stops on Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court), Newgate Street (Premier Inn) or Gallowgate, as again, these will be served. Service X63 Service X63 to Killingworth will commence from Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court) before running non-stop via Pilgrim Street, Swan House and Central Motorway where it will rejoin its normal route at the Coast Road Service X63 to Newcastle City Centre will run via normal route to the Hole in the Wall, Market Street East (outside the Magistrates Court) where the service will terminate. Service X63 customers are advised to use the bus stops on Market Street East as this stop will be served throughout the closures. Service 71/72/87 Service 71/72/87 towards City Centre will run as normal via Westgate Road and Grainger Street (outside Forbidden Planet), where this service will terminate. Service 71/72/87 towards North Walbottle/Chapel House will commence service Grainger Street (outside Forbidden Planet) before running via Newgate Street and Gallowgate before re-joining the normal route at Barrack Road. Service 71/72/87 customers towards City Centre should use the stop at Barrack Road (outside the football ground) which will be served throughout the closure. Customers travelling towards North Walbottle/Chapel House are advised to use the stops at either Grainger Street (outside Forbidden Planet), Newgate Street (Premier Inn) or Gallowgate, which again, will be served throughout the closures.
Services X77/X78 Service X77/X78 to City Centre will run along the A167 as normal before diverting via Grandstand Road, Ponteland Road, Hunter s Road and Richardson Road. X77/X78 will then travel via Leazes Park Road and Strawberry Place to Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) where services will terminate. Service X77/X78 to Ponteland/Darras Hall will commence service from Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) before running via Ponteland Road, Cow Hill Intersection, re-joining the normal Service X82 Service X82 to City Centre will be on normal route to West Road before travelling non-stop via Brighton Grove, Hunter s Road, Richardson Road, Leazes Lane Leazes Park Road and Strawberry Place to Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) where the service will terminate. Service X82 to Throckley will commence service from Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) before running non-stop via Stanhope Street to the General Hospital where it will re-join the normal Service X82 customers are advised to use the bus stops on Barrack Road (opposite the football ground), as it will be served throughout the closure. Services X87/X88 Service X87/X88 to City Centre will run along the Central Motorway as normal before diverting via Grandstand Road, Ponteland Road, Hunter s Road and Richardson Road. X87/X88 will then travel via Leazes Park Road and Strawberry Place to Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) where services will terminate. Service X87/X88 to Newbiggin Hall will commence service from Barrack Road (opposite the football ground) before running via Ponteland Road, Cow Hill Intersection, re-joining the normal Service 100 Service 100 to City Centre will travel via St. James Boulevard and Westgate Road (stopping at Cowen s Monument) before running along Neville Street to Central Station where the service will terminate. Service 100 to Metrocentre will commence from Central Station. Service 100 customers should use the bus stops at Cowen s Monument or the Central Station as these will always be served. Service X55 Service X55 towards Hartlepool will be unable to serve Pilgrim Street and will instead Service X55 to City Centre will run via Central Motorway, Hole in the Wall and Market Street Service X55 customers are advised to use the temporary bus stop at Market Street East. Service X24 Service X24 towards Sunderland will be unable to serve Pilgrim Street and will instead Service X24 to City Centre will run via Central Motorway, Hole in the Wall and Market Street
Service X24 customers are advised to use the temporary bus stop at Market Street East. Service X34 Service X34 towards South Shields will be unable to serve Pilgrim Street and will instead Service X34 to City Centre will run via Central Motorway, Hole in the Wall and Market Street Service X34 customers are advised to use the temporary bus stop at Market Street East or Pilgrim Street. Due to the prolonged period of the road closures, and the likely impact of congestion in the city centre area, all services operating in Newcastle are likely to be subject to delays. Whilst we will be seeking to minimise the impacts of this, customers are strongly recommended to leave more time for their journeys. It is anticipated that services will return to the normal routes from approximately 2:30pm.
