DAY 2 (B, D) SPLIT-HVAR Breakfast at hotel in Split. After breakfast we will take 2.0 hour walking city tour of Split and acclaimed Diocletian s Palace. Many scenes from popular HBO series The Game of Thrones were filmed in this Roman complex. Mediterra local expert guides will give you the full story and answer your puzzling questions like; who was Diocletian, why did he build such a big palace, how many Split residents today live in this Palace and many other. We will visit also Mestrovic Gallery. Mestrovic was the greatest Croatian sculptor who also lived and taught in the USA. Return to Split for lunch (not included) and check out. Transfer to Split ferry terminal. 2:30p Departure by car ferry to island of Hvar (Stari Grad landing). Our bus & driver will be with us all the way. 4:30p Arrival in Stari Grad, Hvar. DAY 3 (B, L) HVAR Breakfast at hotel in Hvar. 9:00a After breakfast we will take 2.0 hour walking city tour of Hvar and will explore this charming city until noontime. 12:00p Departure to Lost & Forgotten village for sightseeing and very special lunch at Mr. Barti s village retreat. This unique setting, preparation of food and quality and taste of food have gotten even to NY Times. Last year NY Times reporter stumbled upon Mr. Barti s place and wrote a feature article in Sunday s Travel Section about this unique place. Pick up box breakfast. 6:00a Departure by car ferry from Hvar (Jelsa landing) to island of Brac (pron: brach). 6:20a Arrival at Bol landing, island of Brac. Check-in (conditional) at hotel at Zlatni Rat Beach (hotel TBA-) Accommodation for one night at hotel on Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) Beach (selected by Trip Advisors readers in 2015 as one of the most unique beaches in the world). Balance of day we will spend sightseeing of island of Brac. Visit remote monastery of that once had the most powerful telescope in the world.
