The original Curhaus dating from 1899 now presents itself as the luxury-class City Resort. Experience good old-fashioned luxury in a surprising new form. Be our guest.
Views from a surprising world Renowned London architects Foster and Partners have combined the Hotel s historic Main Building of 1899 with modern architectural accoutrements. The two newly built wings the Spa Wing and the Golf Wing enclose the fully restored Main Build - ing, tangibly linking past and future. The combination of the traditional and the modern is also reflected in the rooms and suites: the interiors in the Main Building with their refined, eclectic configurations instil a sense of history, while the two new wings epi tomise the spirit of the modern age.
A dream that continues when you awake. Double Rooms Superior and Deluxe Double rooms have dark oak parquet flooring. The gene r- ous, modern bathrooms all have separate bath and shower areas, with classic white Calacatta Oro marble fittings in the Main Building and luxury sand-coloured Jura limestone in the two wings. The Deluxe category offers lake views.
Junior Suites in the Spa Wing and Golf Wing You will be amazed by the feeling of space in the Junior Suites in the modern Spa Wing and Golf Wing. The floor-to-ceiling windows give you unrestricted views, not only from the rooms, but also from the whirlpool tubs. The Junior Suites all have balconies and vary in style thanks to their organic architecture.
Junior Suites in the Main Building The parquet flooring creates a historic feel, and the warm colour combinations add to the comfortable atmosphere. The light, luxurious marble bathrooms have whirlpool tubs and separate showers. The historic balconies, bay windows and spacious seating areas with sofas offer wonderful views of Lake Zurich and the Alps.
Culinary voyages of discovery The Restaurant, the Garden Restaurant, the Bar and the lobby make eating and drinking at the Dolder Grand a memorable experience. The wine list con - tains around 500 wines, including some amazingly rare finds. The panoramic views from the terraces over the lake and the countryside provide the perfect backdrop for this indulgence.
There are two particularly bright stars in the gourmet firmament. The Restaurant Heiko Nieder, Chef Fine Dining, creates surprising menus of inno vative gourmet cuisine. The secret of his style is his large array of flavours, which go beyond classic expectations of taste. The interior design featuring works of art by worldfamous painters is just as exclusive as the dining experience. The fully restored historic ceiling forms an impressive can - o py above the elegant atmosphere. It is also worth admiring the wine cube, specially designed for The Restaurant to store over 1,200 bottles of wine and ensure the perfect selection every time. The Fine Dining Restaurant with Private Dining, lounge bar and terrace has been awarded 18 GaultMillau points and 2 Michelin stars.
Garden Restaurant The bright, cosmopolitan Garden Restaurant is open all day, every day, serving light European cuisine and modern Swiss interpretations. Executive Chef Gion Fetz prepares a menu that always reflects the seasonal specialities. The highlight of the Garden Restaurant is the popular Sunday brunch, with an abundant buffet including classic breakfast, starters and anti pasti, a variety of hot meals and an imaginative dessert buffet. In the summer the large panoramic sun terrace invites you to dine in the open air. Barbecues are held on balmy summer evenings. The lounge area is the perfect place for drinks, a glass of wine or snacks.
No two nights are the same and no bar is like this one. Bar Special nights deserve stars with a difference: the extraordinary suspended ceiling lights made from Swarovski candles create a magical glittering atmosphere in the Dolder Grand Bar. Here and on the lounge terrace, guests can meet for drinks, cocktails and snacks while enjoying piano music or one of the monthly jazz evenings.
