WELCOME INFORMATION PACKET For guests staying with us here at YWAM Sydney Island Breeze To see this generation transformed and mobilised into their God-given destiny.
WELCOME TO YWAM SYDNEY ISLAND BREEZE! We are so excited to have you stay with us. We wish to serve you the best we can during your stay, so here are a few helpful details and guidelines for your time here with us. About Us We believe people from all over the world will come to Sydney not only for tourism, but also to meet God, to experience Him in a way that changes their lives and inspires them to go back to their own nations and make Him known. We want to see revival and transformation take place within people s lives starting here in Sydney! We pray that you have an amazing encounter with God and come to understand His heart for the nations more than ever before. Internet Our internet connection can be found in three of our main public areas (the DTS Classroom, the Dining Room and the Worship Hall). We ask that you don t use this to download items as it will slow down the internet for everyone else. The public wifi is YWAMIBS and the password is ywamibs2761. Laundry We have a laundry room that is to the right of our DTS Classroom on the bottom floor. You may use this room outside of base working hours, which are before 8:30am and after 5:30pm. Our base machine will only take one dollar coins and you will need two of them for each machine (washing and dryer). There is also a tub available for handwashing. Outside, in the left hand corner of our backyard we have three hills hoists (clotheslines) that you are more than welcome to use to hang dry your washing if you prefer to do so. Laundry powder will need to be purchased for your personal use. Please see our hospitality staff if you wish to purchase a small packet of laundry powder. Please do not use other people s laundry powder or machines that are in the laundry room. 2
Meal Times Breakfast is self-serve from 6:30am until 8:00am in the Dining Room, and we ask that you please clean up after yourself. Lunch is served at 1:00pm and dinner is served at 5:30pm in the Dining Room. If you are wanting to join us for meals, please let us know so that we can figure out the details and payment. Weekend meals work a bit differently: breakfast is the same, but lunch and dinner is on a sign-up basis. If you sign up for lunch, you need to come to the Dining Room and make a packed lunch between 8:00-8:30am. If you sign up for dinner, you need to come and eat dinner at 5:30pm in the Dining Room. Please note that weekend meals may not happen during particular holiday seasons, so always check to be sure. Quiet Time Our base quiet time is 10:00pm. This rule is in place to respect those who wish to rest, and also because we have many families with young children on our premises. Please do not make loud noises or run around our campus. Drugs, Alcohol & Opposite Sex Policy We have a smoke-free policy on our campus and also do not permit the drinking of alcohol or kava on the premises. There are to be absolutely no drugs, and if you are found with possession of any drugs or alcohol, you will be asked to leave. For everyone s accountability, there are to be no people of the opposite sex in any public rooms with the doors closed (unless you are a married couple) and there are to be no people of the opposite sex in any dorms or units (unless you are staying with your family, of course). Conserving Electricity Please make sure that you turn off the lights and air conditioning before you leave your room. We ask that you limit your showers to 4 minutes so that our hot water does not run out. Please be considerate of others so we can all have warm showers! Personal Belongings Do not leave personal items lying around the building or in the bathrooms. With so many people on-site, things can get misplaced and lost very quickly. Please be careful with your personal belongings and understand that we are not liable for any incidents. 3

Again, please take only 4 minute showers to help us conserve water and electricity. Please spread the curtain to dry and turn off the lights if you are the last to leave. Please use them as needed and clean up after yourself. This room remains open throughout the entire day so feel free to use it whenever you d like. Please keep it tidy and clean up after yourself. Gym Please be careful when using gym equipment and don t use something if you re not sure how it works we do not want you to hurt yourself. Please keep things in the condition that you found them. If something breaks, please let us know so we can get it fixed as soon as possible. We ask that you do not use this room before 6:00am and after 10:00pm because of the noise that it creates. Dance Studio We do have a dance studio available on our top floor. We have regular groups of people who use it, but if it is ever empty, feel free to use it. We ask that you do not use this room before 6:00am and after 10:00pm because of the noise that it creates.
