Interview to S horabaixa A winter afternoon, with the help of a good friend... discovered a charming place... a place to return and not to forget... a place to get lost and let time pass with time... We speak about Farm S'Horabaixa! We were lucky enough to enjoy its hospitality and gastronomy: Fricandó for the occasion! A feast for the Catalans! They say that with that welcome... this wonderful setting and the cozy company... a part of our hearts will stay there forever!
Interclubs Bouldering League (IBL): How did the idea about Agritourism S'Horabaixa? Farm S'Horabaixa: The idea of creating S'Horabaixa Farm arose from the need that we had partners make a life change and vital work that allowed us to make the most of ourselves without losing the opportunity to enjoy our hobbies. So we decided to open a farm, where we could give the best of our training as designers creating a rustic but modern at the same time the simplicity, functionality and above all sincerity with the environment and the concept would be the guidelines to follow to design the indoor and outdoor spaces. Deciding on a rural estate in Mallorca was conditioned by the ideal conditions that the island and this type of accommodation in order to offer our customers a place where they could enjoy our same hobbies (sport to the outdoors, gardening and horticulture and the kitchen). IBL: How long does it open? What assessment do of this time? S'Horabaixa has been open to the public since February 2012. This is our second season and the assessment we do is very positive. Although no one knew, as we did totally reform the style of the house and change the name, the first year was pretty good and the developments that have been employed until today is very positive with a percentage of repeaters very high, which leads us to predict that the second season will be much better than the last. We are very happy to have been able to get where we are in such a short time and because every customer happy and eager to start repeating.
IBL: What type of accommodation do you offer? S'Horabaixa is a farmhouse where you can switch off from day to day in a rural setting and no crowds. Our location allows you to visit the different areas of the island with relative ease because good communication to cart yet we are in a fairly quiet area to enjoy a starry night with no more noise than those of nature and zero contamination light. We have chosen to create a space where you can enjoy the calm that offers the natural, so there are no TVs in the rooms and each room has its own entrance and terrace. But we abandon the comforts of today's world and there is WIFI throughout the property, pool, heating, fans,...
IBL: Culinary tourism?, Active or both? S'Horabaixa believe that both are basic to enjoy a healthy, balanced and in harmony with the surrounding environment. In Mallorca we are fortunate to enjoy a Mediterranean climate along with the privileged natural environment that surrounds us is perfect for practicing outdoor sports throughout the year. There is also a rich local cuisine with all the benefits of the Mediterranean diet and the best fresh produce from sea and the countryside. We are aware of these privileges and also we want our customers to enjoy. LBI: What services do you have? We have 12 rooms with own entrance and terrace, complete bathroom, heating and fan. There are 7 double rooms with choice of two beds or king size bed, and 5 apartments with lounge / fully equipped kitchen, sofa bed (fits 4 people). Besides the rooms have a TV room with sofas, board games, books with multilingual information varied reception of the island and computers with internet, honesty bar, WIFI throughout the property, pool, BBQ-Chill out Zone, ping-pong, slakline small outdoor climbing wall, crash-pads rental, bicycle rental,... As for the cuisine, guests every morning enjoy our buffet breakfast where you will find everything you need with typical and harvest and own. At noon can order picnic to take that simplify the day and will ensure a healthy diet. At night dinners offer our valued Mediterranean cuisine with touches about international cuisine prepared with the freshest produce, and a couple of times a week we Chill-out dinners which accompany the BBQ (meat, fish, vegetables,... ), paella, tapas,... of the best cocktails and the best music by the pool in an environment that fosters interaction between customers.
IBL: What activities can we enjoy? At S'Horabaixa are aware of the natural setting in which we are to practice all kinds of outdoor activities, we offer our clients a very wide range of sports and cultural activities, which will enable them to know the island from many different ways. We offer the possibility to practice all kinds of sports (biking, climbing, horse riding, cayak, canyoning, hiking, Nordic walking, running, sailing, kite surfing, diving, paddelboard,...) as well as leisure, culture and cuisine (outputs balloon, motorcycle or boat, massage, guided visits to museums, historical centers of towns and Palma, wineries,...). Despite having such a wide range, to S'Horbaixa we specialize in climbing and cycling. As we have our own climbing wall climbing, slackline, crash-pads and work with the best guides with Miquel Riera (precursor and almost Psicobloc inventor of Majorca and worldwide) that can guide or teach us to enjoy the best day of climbing, whether classical, sports or soloing. Cycling have our own hand material Bike O2 (http://www.o2-bike.com) is headquartered in our facilities where we have all bicycles, parking and workshop by customers, guided tours, GPS and specialized products.
