Les Farios Farios Vet team was created in 1988, more than 25 years (yet ), by a bunch of guys who wanted to continue the rugby adventure together despite bodies getting kind of rusty. From 25 members at the beginning of the story the side counts today over 60 players spited now in 2 groups, young team : from 35 up to 50 and senior team over 50 (up to 73 to be honest) Both teams share Friday practice and after practice traditions. Our guys and wives will be more than happy to welcome you for their annual international tournament (for festival, whatever) occurring April the 28 th and 29 th 2017. Farios are well recognized through their harlequin jersey and trout logo. They have attended to many events in France and abroad. Many memories to share with a lot of friends made here and there. The goal is to continue having fun on the pitch despite bodies getting more and more stiff and painful, trying to stay as fitted as possible. Sharing good time together is, of course, our main objective. Our recipe to enjoy: Friendship, team spirit and rugby values, like post match celebration. Founder are now member of the senior team, they keep an attentive eye on the young players in order to make sure the above values are respected. We will be glad to challenge you on the pitch and, obviously, at the bar. Farios were elected to organize the very first French over 50 event in 2012.
TOURNAMENT S SPIRIT The Broques Antiques tournament is not only a sport event. It is a nice occasion of time sharing between rugby fans coming from various countries and different areas of France. Come and join us for the Friday pre tournament evening party and, if possible, bring with you some local food (or drink) specialties, we will share those with the other participants. Saturday will the THE rugby and party day, sweat on the pitch and friendliness around the pitch (at the pump room ) icing on the cake : walk across the city with the peña ahead when reaching the Gala event hall. Gala evening will close the tournament. (food, drink, music and dance) We want you to become a sport and party actor of this day, we are looking forward to meet you.

Tournament rules : Normal rugby rules applies with the exceptions mentioned hereafter (possible adaptations may occur) No ranking, no points, no winner : Farios will designate champ according to the following criteria: convivialité, participation (nombre de joueurs), jeu développé, esprit sportif, respect des joueurs et des arbitres, animation, comportement général sur et en dehors du terrain... (liste non exhaustive) Each teams must by administratively in order (insurances, licenses, etc...) Sur le terrain le spoints importants: Each player is responsible for his behavior Scrums are not pushed Not rough play; 35 years old minimum or over 50 year for Quinquas (senior) teams; No tackles on red shorts (over 60); simple opposition No tackles on yellow/gold short (over 70) simple opposition after 10 m free run
PROGRAM «Broques Antiques» (possibles adaptations) Friday : 20H : team reception sharing evening at the tournament pitch. (Don t forget to bring typical food from your area to share with other) Saturday : 8H30-9H30 : Team registration/ Breakfast. 10H00-14H00 : matchs; 14H00-15H30 : aperitif and lunch at the pitch ; 16H00-17H00 : Barbarian (mixed) game for the bravest ones 18H30 : Rendez-vous at the pitch for everyone in order follow the Peña across the city, 19H30 : aperitif at party place 20H00 : trophy awards 21H00 : opening of the gala banquet and party Sunday : For those who want to stay on Sunday here are our advises (we can help) Canoe allong the Sorgue river from Fontaine de Vaucluse ( allow 2h) Provence typical market in Isle sur Sorgue. Antique shops visit: 350 show in town ( 2 nd biggest place in France for antiques) Visit of the famous Provence villages around o GORDES, o les BAUX de PROVENCE, o SAINT REMY de PROVENCE o Le LUBERON o FONTAINE de VAUCLUSE Pré registration: 500 for the team (to be deducted when doing final payment) Complete event (tournament, lunch, aperitif & gala banquet) : 45 /pers.
