I hope y'all have had a chance to go through you bikes and equipment for the new season. Due to the fact I am still in recovery mode Joy will be taking the honor of this year's opening ride. Another event this month is the annual "Wild Goose Run", for the newer members it's kinda the opening event of the year sponsored by the Port Club. We meet in Beaver Dam for brunch. Many of us partake in club rides, some free lance to the restaurant. It's nice to see or meet everyone after a long winter. Mike Cohen will have advanced tickets at the meeting. With the new season beginning I want to encourage everybody to consider leading a club ride. We would love to experience one through your point of view. Newer members and those who have never led a ride don't be intimidated, it's actually fun and rewarding. I would like to leave you with this, ***May your joys be as deep as oceans. ***May your troubles be as light as foam. ***And may you find peace of mind. ***Wherever you may roam. Bob RIDE SAFE MY FRIENDS! Secretary's Report - None Treasurer's Report - Ernie motions to accept the checking account balance.. Bob Reitberger seconds. Mike has Wild Goose tickets for sale. Bob would like to bring back led rides & a bike show. Next meeting will be held on 3/31 at Fuzzy s South in Waukesha. Meeting time is 11:00. MOA Report Mileage contest is a mess due to people sending in the wrong contest forms. RA Report - None AMA Report None Constitution Committee None Tour Director Jim Furhmann has a block of rooms reserved for the Menomonee Pow Wow and he will be leading a ride. Dates are August 4 th and 5 th. Ernie is passing the sign up sheet for the Fish Fry in May. Sunshine Committee Bob received thank you s from the Pipkorns, Al Patzer, and Mickie Stresing, the Doggetts and Jeanne Cohen were all grateful for the cards sent by the Club. Mickie has been moved to a rehab center as of today. Eddie Boskamp is now in CT. Old Business Harv Read got his first place award. New Business There are still a lot of openings if you want to lead a ride. Motion to adjourn Dave Kurth. Doug Twing seconds.

February Rally Report Preparations for this year s rally are progressing, a bit slower than I would have liked, but progressing none the less. The contract for Camp Wawbeek has been signed, sealed, and delivered (thanks to Mike Cohen). This year s Friday night music will be: rock/blues band Mostly Water (last year s Saturday night band) and country rock band Bottoms Up for Saturday night. The Saturday night catered meal will be provided by Piggies Delight. Stanley Szymusiak and his crew will again delight us with their delicious pig roast. We have the option of substituting the baked mostaccioli for another side dish. Anyone who would like is welcome to check out the menu at their web site piggiesdelight.com and offer suggestions. A word of warning, however, Stanley has informed me that we will have to find another vender for the 2019 rally as he will be attending his daughter s wedding on that weekend. The volunteer clean up at Camp Wawbeek is still May 11-12. I have been a little disappointed by the general lack of energy exuding from the club as far as support for this endeavor. Granted, there are a number of us that have stepped up to volunteer and for those I am grateful, but for the most part, I am getting very little help here. If this is what Heidi and Brian went through then it sheds a new sense of appreciation on their efforts in the previous years. As such, I have changed the Facebook rally volunteer page to an open forum in the hopes of soliciting input from the outside and maybe use it as a marketing tool. This rally for me is an opportunity to get together with like-minded people, in an environment free from the madness of the world and just have a good time. I don t mind the work as I have to be doing something anyway and I might as well be doing it for a good cause. My goal is to attempt to resurrect what was once one of the premier midwestern rally s. I don t buy into the naysayers who claim no one goes to rallies any more, or we are all getting older, or whatever other excuses I hear. There is no lack of motorcycle enthusiasts out there and they all like to party. We simply need to go back, look at what made our rally a great success and reinvent this thing to keep it going. The theme of this year s rally will be Back to Basics. There s more, but that s enough for now. The March Rally Meeting will be at Fuzzy s Southside Grill, Saturday, March 31 at 11:00AM. 1726 South West Ave, Waukesha 53189. It s a nice place with good bar food. Come and have fun.
