The 2nd annual Evansville Stromboli Festival is coming back to the Historic Bosse Field on Saturday, July 28th, 2018. Join us as we celebrate the local history of the Stromboli and welcome some out-of-town traditions! We are working hard to have many of your favorite Stromboli joints in one place! Help us decide this year s People s Choice for best Evansville Original and best Out-of-Town Stromboli! WHY A STROMBOLI FESTIVAL? Evansville, Indiana is known for its unique version of the Stromboli sandwich. The sandwich is made on a buttered Italian roll with sausage, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheeses. This version was introduced to Evansville in the late 1950 s by the Dillard family. Today, a similar sandwich can be found at several dozen pizza restaurants and bars. Many adding unique twists in an effort to be identified as the Best Stromboli. In recent years and with the diverse growth of Evansville, several new restaurants have joined the scene claiming to have the authentic New York or Italian Stromboli. You could say there is certainly a bit of controversy brewing! Food vendors will each be given the opportunity to sell their Stromboli at their individually managed tent spaces during the festival. For reasons of sampling, food vendors will offer attendees a quarter ($2) or a whole sandwich ($8), encouraging attendees to try more vendors. Food will be prepared in their restaurants or food trucks and brought to the festival in approved containers to distribute and sell product during the hours of the festival. All food vendors will need to provide proof of insurance and follow all state and county health guidelines. PEPSI PRODUCTS Pepsi must be purchased on site through the stadium s account. Pricing is $24 per soda case and $18 per water for 20oz bottle ONLY cases. The price per 20oz is $2 to the attendees. PASSPORT CARD: Each festival attendee will receive a Festival Passport card to include a booth map plus coupon offers from each food vendor. We want to provide additional sales opportunities after the festival through a discount buy one, get one offer type of offer. SPECIAL FESTIVAL DISCOUNT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS: A promotional flyer will be provided to each vendor to include an exclusive PROMO CODE offering a discount to purchase festival tickets online. 2018 FOOD & GENERAL VENDOR OVERVIEW Evansville Stromboli Fest will be held at Bosse Field on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a VIP hour from Noon to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public for a general admission fee of $5 in advance and $8 at the door. A VIP package is also available for $35 (presale special) or $40 (in advance). Each entry will include a complimentary Pepsi product and a bag of Grippos. Event will include live music, kids activities, games and other fun activities. SANDWICH PORTION AND PRICE: Food vendors are required to offer quarter Stromboli sandwich portions to the public at a rate of $2. The goal is to get consumers to try different Stromboli sandwiches from different vendors so that they can vote for their favorite in the People s Choice Award for local and out-of-town vendors. A limited number of presale sample vouchers will be sold as part of the advance online ticket sales. Vendors must honor these printed sample vouchers at the rate of 75% (or $1.50) for one-quarter Stromboli portion. BOOTH COST AND SET UP: Booth cost is $149 for a 10 x 10 space ($199 after July 6). And $199 for a 10 x 20 space ($249 after July 6). Deadline for vendor registration is Friday, July 20. Vendor booths and tables are to set up from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on the day of event. Final instructions will be provided to participants two weeks prior to the festival. Food trucks/vendors must be open, staffed and ready to operate by 11:45 a.m. Set up begins at 7 a.m. and will end at 11 a.m. the day of the festival. PEOPLE S CHOICE AWARD: All food vendors offering a Stromboli will be eligible for the festival s People s Choice Award, determined by festival attendees. Every vendor should have a box or jar to collect these votes. Additional details will be available soon. CHARITY: Aurora Evansville They believe that everyone has value and needs a safe, decent affordable place to call home. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated for their cause. INSURANCE: All food vendors are required to carry and maintain at their own cost and expense a general liability insurance policy with a minimum single limit of $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 aggregate for bodily injury and property damage per occurrence for bodily injuries, wrongful death, or property damage occurring on or about the premises designated for the Evansville Stromboli Festival, naming its owner s, agents, and employees named as additional insured parties. All vendors must agree to provide proof of coverage and the additional insured listed via a certificate of insurance by July 20, 2018.
