Accreditation Office Registration The Accreditation Office will be located at University of Maine Fort Kent, Cyr Hall, Grindle Conference room. The teams are requested to present themselves on their arrival at the Accreditation Office to confirm your participation numbers. 2
A6. Liability/Insurance The National Federations registering competitors shall be responsible for adequate insurance of participants. All participants must be appropriately insured against injuries, illness or possible damage of material. Neither the 10 th Mountain Ski Center, Fort Kent Organizing Committee or Maine Winter Sports Center shall be liable for personal and material damage. By submitting the entry by names, the National Federation confirms that all persons entered are covered by such insurance. A7. Regulations on Import/Export of Rifles and Ammunition and Radio Equipment and Medicine If you have completed the firearms application for the Presque Isle E.ON IBU World Cup Biathlon your application covers both Presque Isle and Fort Kent. See Appendix A and C. A8. Regulations on Import/Export of Radio Equipment The United States Federal Communications Commission s requires that all radio equipment that is to be utilized be operated with a Special Temporary Authority certification for the period of the event. If you have completed the radio equipment form for Presque Isle your application covers both Presque Isle and Fort Kent. See Appendix B. A9. VISA Regulations If you have completed the visa application for the Presque Isle E.ON IBU World Cup Biathlon your application covers both Presque Isle and Fort Kent. B. Logistics B1. Transportation ARRIVALS: Official arrival day is Monday, 7 February, 2011 EQUIPMENT: Team equipment (Wax room) will be transported from Presque Isle to Fort Kent on Sunday, 6 February via equipment truck. Equipment will be loaded between 13:00 to 16:00. Equipment will be placed in your assigned wax room at the Fort Kent Venue. TEAMS: Teams will be transported from Presque Isle to Fort Kent on Monday, 7 February starting at 1100. The teams will be taken to Long Lake recreational area for lunch and snowmobile excursions and then transported to Fort Kent accommodations at 1600. Team personal luggage will be transported via luggage truck from Presque Isle directly to your Fort Kent accommodations provider. The luggage truck will be available from 0900 to 1100 at your hotel. DEPARTURES: Round Trip Charter Flight Registration is required when submitting the Presque Isle Registration by Number. Teams will be financially responsible for charter flight seats based on the charter reservations on Registration for charter flight Annex D due on 31.12.10. Equipment will be loaded between 13:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, 14 February, 2011 at the venue. TEAMS: Departure schedule from Fort Kent on February 14, 2011: The planned charter return flight will get the Teams to Boston at 12:00. To allow enough time to get your luggage and check in we suggest that you book return flight to Europe at 15:00 or later. Each person will be allowed 2 bags similar to commercial air travel. Additional baggage should go on the equipment truck. Schedule: 0830 Leave Fort Kent 930-1000 Arrival at Presque Isle Airport - PQI 1030 Leave PQI airport 1200 Arrival in Boston (BOS) TRANSPORT IN FORT KENT AND TO THE VENUE The OC will provide local transportation free to all teams, and staff members. Transfer from your lodging site to the event site or cultural events will also be provided according to the published bus schedule in the Teams Captains manual. Deadline: 7 January, 2011 The IBU online registration by names is at the same time a binding reservation of the accommodations. Deadline: 24 January, 2011 The OC assumes the cost for accommodations and meals for the 25 best male and 25 best female athletes for a maximum of 7 days. The selection is made according to the IBU Event and Competition Rules. Accommodation reservations must be paid to the OC for the period booked for all members of the team. Early or late departure or any self-organized changes cannot be considered. If the reserved accommodation is not used or partially used and is not cancelled, the federation making this reservation will be held liable for the cost. PAYMENT: The OC accepts US dollars and Euros, as well as Visa and MasterCard credit cards ONLY. Payment is due by 11.2.11 in the OC office at the 10 th Mountain Lodge.
