What is Pro Safe Sport? Approach: Split the issue of Pro Safe Sport into the following categories Physical well-being Psychological well-being (incl. SHA, emotional abuse, LGBT) Social well-being (incl. dual careers, matchfixing, social media) Fairplay (anti-doping, anti-discrimination) Governance, policy, procedures
Which aims does PSS pursue? General objective Promote the well-being of young athletes Specific objectives raise awareness on safety and health issues among sports administrators and the athletes entourage assess the organisational capacity of relevant organisations to deal with/ promote the well-being of young athletes (self-assessment tool/ self-reflection grid)
Which aims does PSS pursue? provide guidance on health and safety measures (health and safety training programme) set up a virtual resource centre for sports administrators, the athletes and his/ her entourage on Pro Safe Sport
How has PSS achieved these aims? By promoting and disseminating the PSS toolkit By organising PSS workshops and training sessions
