Optional Extension Banff to Vancouver by Rail See the sights from glass-domed seating aboard the Rocky Mountaineer as you traverse the Continental Divide along Kicking Horse River, Shuswap Lake, and Fraser Canyon, ending in the sparkling city of Vancouver. Extension Itinerary (subject to change) Day 7: Banff / Rocky Mountaineer / Kamloops (B,L) This morning, board the Rocky Mountaineer to travel by rail over the Continental Divide and along Kicking Horse River. Enjoy the vistas as you continue westward to Shuswap Lake with its thousand miles of shoreline. Tonight, enjoy free time in Kamloops. Day 8: Kamloops / Rocky Mountaineer / Vancouver (B,L) Back aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, pass through fertile Thompson Valley and Fraser Canyon. Arrive early evening to Vancouver. Day 9: Vancouver (B) With a day at leisure, take time to explore beautiful Vancouver, perhaps venturing to the waterfront, Chinatown, or Stanley Park. You may also choose to participate in one of the offered optional excursions.
