FROM 26 JANUARY 2008, STAGECOACH YORKSHIRE WILL BE OPERATING A NEW LOOK BUS NETWORK ACROSS THE DEARNE VALLEY, EASILY IDENTIFIED BY THE BRAND NEW BUSES. Stagecoach Yorkshire is committed to improving your local bus service by simplifying bus routes, refining timetables and investing in more low-floor easy access vehicles. Following Stagecoach Yorkshire s investment in 16 new low floor easy access buses last year, we are investing almost 1.5 million in a further 13 brand new vehicles all for the Dearne Valley. Soon you ll be able to take advantage of these new low floor easy access buses, which will feature the eye catching livery. This leaflet is designed to provide you with a route by route list of the changes being made.that way if you travel on a specific bus route you ll be able to find details of all the changes that affect you. There are a number of area guides available which provide more detail on timetables and route maps. THE NETWORK This table lists all the changes to your local bus network from 26 January 2008. The Dearne Link network features a number of improvements, including service renumbering, timetable enhancements and changes to routes. To see if your bus service is changing, just look for the bus number on the following pages, if your bus service is not mentioned, it hasn t changed. Low floor easy access buses operate on the routes indicated. We make every effort to provide easy access buses, however there may be exceptional circumstances when we need to substitute another bus. New low floor buses are being introduced over the next few weeks. Changes to bus routes, timetables and service numbers: X19 Barnsley Darfield Goldthorpe Scawsby Doncaster Robin Hood Airport Minor timetable changes Additional early morning journeys Monday to Saturday 49 Doncaster Sprotbrough Service withdrawn, but replaced by new services 224 and 225. 64A Doncaster Bentley Arksey Minor timetable change:the 0725 journey, Monday to Friday from Doncaster will run 5 minutes earlier throughout arriving back in Doncaster at 0805. 65 Barnsley Worsbrough Hoyland Darfield Great Houghton Following consultation with South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive the evening and Sunday journeys on this route will be withdrawn.this is partially replaced by the extension on route 227. 68/68A Barnsley Aldham House Wombwell Darfield Great Houghton Minor route and timetable changes to improve reliability. Journeys via Billingley will operate direct to Great Houghton via West Kirk Lane rather than Middlecliffe Lane, serving Middlecliffe on the return journey to Barnsley. 69 Barnsley Aldham House Wombwell Darfield Minor route and timetable changes to improve reliability. In Darfield buses will operate in a new one way loop from Upperwood Road via Barnsley Road, Saltersbrook Road, Bellbrooke Avenue, Rose Avenue, Edderthorpe Lane, Saltersbrook Road, Nanny Marr Road, Illsley Road, Morrison Road, Bly Road and Barnsley Road back to Upperwood Road. 74 Doncaster Sprotbrough High Melton Harlington Goldthorpe Bolton Mexborough Service withdrawn, but replaced by new services 224 and 225. X92 Doncaster Conisbrough Denaby Mexborough Manvers Wath Rawmarsh Parkgate Rotherham Meadowhall Service withdrawn but replaced by new service 220 (except between Rotherham and Meadowhall. Alternative bus and train services available between these points). 108/109 Rotherham Parkgate Rawmarsh Circular Revised timetable to improve reliability with extra journeys operating during the morning and afternoon peak. Both services combine to provide a 5 minute daytime frequency between Rotherham, Parkgate and Rawmarsh High Street. 108 evening service increased from hourly to every 20 minutes. 108 and 109 Sunday service will be increased from hourly to every 30 minutes, to provide a combined 15 minute frequency between Rotherham, Parkgate and Rawmarsh High Street. 149 Doncaster Sprotbrough High Melton Service withdrawn, but replaced by new services 224 and 225. 218 Barnsley Darfield Goldthorpe Bolton Manvers Mexborough Kilnhurst Rawmarsh Parkgate Rotherham All evening and Sunday journeys will now run 20 minutes earlier throughout to improve coordination with the new 221 service between Rotherham and Mexborough. Extra journey introduced to and from Rotherham on Saturday mornings. 220 Rotherham Parkgate Rawmarsh Wath Manvers Mexborough Denaby Conisbrough Doncaster New service replacing the old X92, running every 30 minutes. Revised timetable to improve reliability, no longer serving Meadowhall. Extra early morning journeys introduced. Combined with services 221 and 229, buses will operate up to every 10 minutes between Swinton (Woodman Roundabout) and Rotherham Interchange. Combined with services 221 and 222, buses will operate up to every 10 minutes between Denaby, Conisbrough and Doncaster.

221 Rotherham Parkgate Rawmarsh Swinton Mexborough Windhill Denaby Conisbrough Doncaster New service replacing the old 288 and 289, running every 30 minutes. Revised timetable to improve reliability. Additional journeys introduced during peak times to and from Doncaster. Extra early morning journeys introduced. Combined with services 220 and 229, buses will operate up to every 10 minutes between Swinton (Woodman Roundabout) and Rotherham Interchange. Combined with services 220 and 222, buses will operate up to every 10 minutes between Denaby, Conisbrough and Doncaster. Evening and Sunday frequency reduced to hourly. 222 Barnsley Wombwell Brampton West Melton Wath Swinton Mexborough Denaby Conisbrough Doncaster Revised timetable to improve reliability, now up to every 30 minutes. Now serves the Denaby and Conisbrough estates providing new links to Barnsley and more buses to Doncaster from these areas. In Wath all journeys will operate via Newhill rather than Burman Road. Combined with services 220 and 221, buses will operate up to every 10 minutes between Denaby, Conisbrough and Doncaster. Evening and Sunday journeys no longer serve the Aldham House Estate, this will be replaced by the extension to route 227. 223 Barnsley Wombwell Brampton West Melton Wath Swinton Mexborough Denaby Conisbrough Doncaster 224 Doncaster Sprotbrough High Melton Harlington Goldthorpe Bolton Mexborough Service withdrawn, but replaced by improved service 222 and revised 229. New service replacing the old 74, now up to every 30 minutes. Additional peak time journeys introduced. Combined with service 225, buses will operate every 15 minutes between Doncaster and Sprotbrough. Stagecoach will now also provide the hourly evening and Sunday journeys along this route. 225 Doncaster Sprotbrough New service replacing the old 49, running every 30 minutes. Combined with service 224, buses will operate every 15 minutes between Doncaster and Sprotbrough. 226 Barnsley Wombwell Brampton West Melton Manvers Bolton Goldthorpe Thurnscoe Route and timetable changes. Buses will now operate between Barnsley and Thurnscoe only, therefore no longer serving Great Houghton. In Thurnscoe buses will follow a one way loop from Shepherd Lane via Houghton Road, Merrill Road, Lingamore Leys, School Street and Houghton Road back to Shepherd Lane. Between Brampton and West Melton buses will operate via Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road, Grove Road, Edward Road, Masefield Road, Christchurch Road, Brampton Road and Melton High Street, rather than via the length of Brampton Road which will be covered by service 229. Up to every 30 minutes. 227 Rotherham Greasbrough Wentworth Elsecar Hoyland Evening and Sunday journeys will extend to Barnsley from Hoyland via Jump, Wombwell, Aldham House and Barnsley. 228 Barnsley Wombwell Brampton West Melton Wath Rawmarsh Parkgate Rotherham Meadowhall Service withdrawn but replaced by revised services 220, 222 and 229 (except between Rotherham and Meadowhall. Alternative bus and train services available between these points). 229 Barnsley Wombwell Brampton West Melton Wath Rawmarsh Parkgate Rotherham Route and timetable changes to improve reliability, no longer serving Meadowhall. Between Brampton and West Melton buses will operate direct via Brampton Road.The Masefield Road area will be covered by service 226. Combined with services 220 and 221, buses will operate up to every 10 minutes between Swinton (Woodman Roundabout) and Rotherham Interchange. Up to every 30 minutes 288 Rotherham Parkgate Rawmarsh Swinton Mexborough Windhill Denaby Conisbrough Doncaster Service withdrawn, but replaced by new service 221. 289 Rotherham Parkgate Rawmarsh Swinton Mexborough Windhill Service withdrawn, please refer to new timetables for services 218, 220, 221 and 222 for buses between Rotherham, Parkgate, Swinton, Mexborough and Clayfield.
