The floor plates at MBFC are built around central cores with the service elements of the building: passenger lifts, service lifts, electrical risers, air-con handling units (AHU) and toilets. This has several advantages. Without the need for long corridors, access to the offices is greatly simplified. The building s management team can undertake maintenance of plant without needing to access the tenant s premises. It is easier to subdivide the floors.
