Facility Use Information Effective January 1, 2016 Atherton Hālau & Bowman Hālau Wa a (combined) $1,250 Our most popular rental facility for everything from baby lū au to lectures! An adjacent private landscaped garden and terraced lānai is included for additional planned activities. Events can be held from 7am 2pm or 3pm 10pm (client set up and breakdown time included). Atherton Hālau Atherton Hālau, an open-air venue built to take advantage of the valley breezes, can be utilized for meetings, presentations, and dinners. This facility is equipped with the following features: Ten (10) 8 x 30 banquet tables One Hundred Seventy- Five (175) armrest chairs 18 x 9 stage with 10 x 10 projection screen. Projector and laptop can be rented at an additional cost. Simple sound system (Microphone, ipod adapter, and CD player included). Wi-Fi access Kitchen facility with a household refrigerator/freezer and range for warming foods only. Private Kāne and Wahine restrooms Capacity: 150 theatre-style 140 lū au-style banquet seating. Bowman Hālau Wa a This A-framed building adjacent to Atherton Hālau can be utilized for additional dinner seating or for other event activities. Includes: Fifteen (15) 8 x 30 banquet tables One Hundred Fifteen (115) folding chairs 16 x 10 stage Simple sound system (Microphone). Can be used either in conjunction with or separately from the Atherton Hālau sound system. Available for evening (3pm 10pm) events only. This ceremony option covers up to 3 hours use of the space, including set-up and break-down, and includes: 50 White cushioned chairs (additional chairs available for rent) A simple, lattice arch An additional refundable deposit of $200.00 is required to reserve the facility.. Muriel Flanders Garden Cocktail Reception $200/hour or $750/evening This beautiful garden setting is also a great option for an intimate cocktail reception. Available for evening (3pm 10pm) events only. Capacity: 100 An additional refundable deposit of $200.00 is required to reserve the facility.

Hawaiian Hall Atrium & Courtyard $2,700 Part of the historic Hawaiian Hall Complex, this is a beautiful site for entertaining guests with an intrinsic connection to our cultural collections. Whether elegant sit-down dinner or chic cocktail party, this indooroutdoor location is sure to impress. Available for evening (3pm 10pm) events only. Capacity: 175 banquet seating An additional refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve the facility. Hawaiian Hall Courtyard only $1,200 For a more intimate, outdoor experience. Available for evening (3pm 10pm) events only. Capacity: 120 banquet seating Hawaiian Hall Courtyard Cocktail Reception $250/hour The perfect prelude to an event at any of our other venues or a relaxing close to a day-long meeting; a cocktail reception in this outdoor location is definitely a VIP experience. Available for up to 3 hours only (between 3pm 10pm), including set-up and break-down. Capacity: 150 stand-up cocktail reception Hale Ikehu $500 Originally built as an open energy house by HECO, Hale Ikehu is set aside in our native Hawaiian garden, Nā Ulu o Kaiwi ula. Perfect for birthday parties and baby showers, this garden setting can also serve as a unique meeting location. The day rate covers up to 7 hours; event times from 7am 2pm or 3pm 10pm (client set up and breakdown time included). Includes: Five (5) 8 banquet tables Fifty (50) chairs Capacity: 50 An additional refundable deposit of $200.00 is required to reserve the facility.

PĀKĪ Conference Rooms These private, air-conditioned rooms are conveniently located just steps away from the parking lot. The day rates cover use for up to 8 hours (client set up and breakdown time included) between 7am 10pm. An additional refundable deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve the facility. PĀKĪ 1 or PĀKĪ 2 $75/hour or $400/day Tables and chairs included allow for a variety of room configurations. For your presentation needs, PĀKĪ 1 includes a drop-down projection screen; and PĀKĪ 2 includes a portable screen. Projectors and other AV equipment are available for rent. Capacity: 45 Theatre-style 30 Classroom seating 25 Conference table seating PĀKĪ 3 $75/hour or $300/day Our executive conference room furnished with a fixed conference table and luxurious chairs. Capacity: 10 Castle Memorial Building First Floor Conference Hall $1,250 Home to our ever-changing and exciting exhibits, this gallery space is occasionally available for use as a large meeting or presentation venue. While food and beverage is not allowed in Castle Memorial Building, both Muriel Flanders Garden and the Hawaiian Hall Courtyard are located just steps away to accommodate your food & beverage needs. Events can be held from 7am 2pm or 3pm 10pm (client set up and breakdown time included). Capacity is variable depending on the current exhibit. An additional refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve the facility.

With our knowledgeable docents on-hand, this private look at our treasured collections is a truly unique opportunity. Food and beverage is not allowed in any exhibit area. The evening rate covers 5pm 9pm. Rates listed are for events of up to 500 guests. For larger events, please contact the Special Events office or consider our PRIVATE Campus-Wide Event option. Choose from the following: Hawaiian Hall Complex $500/hour or $1,500/evening Our world-renown collection of native Hawaiian antiquities accented with contemporary artwork by native Hawaiian artists. Hawaiian Hall takes your guests on a journey through Hawaiian history. The first floor, Kai Ākea, showcases Hawaiian gods, legends, beliefs, and the world of pre-contact Hawai i. The second floor, Wao Kanaka, focuses on the natural resources of daily life. The third floor, Wao Lani, is the realm inhabited by the gods; featuring the ali i and key moments in Hawaiian history. Included in your exclusive access are the newly-renovated Pacific Hall (reopening in Fall 2013), the ever-changing exhibits of J. M. Long Gallery, the Abigail Kinoiki Kekaulike Kāhili Room, and the Picture Gallery. Richard T. Mamiya Science Adventure Center $500/hour or $1,500 evening Our interactive science center features hands-on activities, a wave tank, a variety of collected specimens, a walk through a lava tube, and an erupting volcano! An additional refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve a gallery space. Customize your evening at the museum with a wide-range of activities available at additional costs; docent tours, Hawaiian storytelling, a lava-melting demonstration and more! PRIVATE Planetarium Shows $300/show Literally, a star-studded experience! Give your guests exclusive access to the newly-renovated J. Watumull Planetarium; our new hybrid system combines a full dome video system and a new Chronos II star machine. Explore the current evening sky in Hawai i; a detailed and lively presentation. 25 minute show. Capacity: 75 guests per show PRIVATE Campus-Wide Event $5,000; plus Discount Admission Rates Celebrate your event with a full-access pass to all our galleries under the moonlight. Your event stretches across our campus with dining, entertainment and activities on the Great Lawn, Atherton Hālau and more. Your guests explore the treasures displayed in our diverse gallery spaces. Offer valid for a minimum of 500 guests with paid admission; $9.95 for Adults (ages 13-64); $6.95 for Keiki (ages 4-12); and $7.95 for Seniors (ages 65 and up). Create your history-making event here at Bishop Museum. Capacity: 4,000 An additional refundable deposit of $1,000.00 is required to reserve the facility. PUBLIC Free Admission Events Please contact the Special Events office for details on sponsoring your own public FAMILY SUNDAY (or Saturday, or Friday, etc.)!

All Facility Use Includes: Discounted admission rates. The discounted rate is available to guests of Facility Use events for gallery access during regular Museum hours of operation (9am 5pm) on the contracted event date only. Discount admission rate is equal to our current Kama āina Group rate; $11.95 for Adults (ages 13-64); $7.95 for Keiki (ages 4-12) Assistance with customized activities and tour coordination Museum staff member to oversee event Parking: Effective November 1, 2015, Bishop Museum has implemented a paid parking system throughout its campus lots. The parking fee is $5 during the day, and $3 in the evening (5:00pm on). Bishop Museum members park for free with a properly displayed parking pass. When you park your vehicle at Bishop Museum, you are providing vital support for the Museum s collections, research, and educational programs and exhibits. Parking fees vary by facility rental contract. Often, one of the following options will be selected: Permittee will not purchase parking for its Event guests. Permittee s guests will pay for its own vehicle parking on Museum s campus at the rate for the hours listed above. Permittee will purchase parking for its Event guests, and will work directly with Diamond Parking Services LLC in obtaining a special events code for its guests and payment to Diamond Parking Services LLC for its Event guests parking fees. Bishop Museum Policies The Bishop Museum reserves the right to amend pricing and policies as deemed necessary. Facility use prices listed may not be applicable for ticketed events. Please contact the Special Events office to discuss your concert, seminar or other ticketed event. Security deposits are non-refundable if event is cancelled less than 90 days prior to event. If client successfully complies with all of the terms and conditions of the facility use agreement, Museum shall return the entire balance of the Security Deposit within thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the Event. Bishop Museum reserves the right to relocate the event, if the selected venue becomes unavailable due to circumstances out of our control. Unless otherwise specified, tenting, tables and chairs are NOT included in facility use. Client is responsible for contracting services with vendors for all event equipment rental, service and catering needs. The Special Events office can provide contacts for vendors who have successfully provided services for previous events. Museum may require vendors to present permits and certifications, as deemed necessary. If law enforcement presence is required at an event, the Museum will place the order for the required number of Special Duty Officers and invoice client for Special Duty fees. Alcohol may be served at events during the hours of 5pm 8:30pm only. Sale of alcohol is NOT permitted. If alcohol is to be served, the Museum requires law enforcement presence at the event. Officer(s) must remain present until all guests vacate premises. Number of officers to be determined commensurate to the number of guests attending. There shall be no loitering in the parking lots or any other areas not mentioned in the contractual agreement. Event set-up and break-down is the responsibility of the client.
