5) When installed the Exterior Ground Bar will extend between 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 from the shelter depending on wall thickness. Figure #5. 2A) Loosen fasteners holding Flat Strap Ground Clamps to Exterior Ground Bar enough to apply Antioxidant Joint Compound (supplied) to the inside of the Clamps and to the Ground Bar. Unroll Ground Straps and pull them up through the Clamps and Ground Bar. Tighten Clamps securing the Ground Straps. Cut off any excess Strap. Figure #9. 4A) Fasten Ground Straps to side of shelter using channel support (EPKPPCST) and appropriate fasteners (EPKPPCST and fasteners not included). Figure #11. INTERIOR FIELD INSTALLATION 1) Mount Arrestor Ground Straps as needed to the Interior Ground Bar with the stainless steel hardware supplied. Figure #16. Arrestor Ground Straps 3) For a Flange Mounted Lightning Arrestor, the end of the Arrestor Ground Strap can be cut off to accommodate the flange connection. Figure #18.
