Description: THE RIDGE BEN LOMOND, NSW Originally owned by the Fulloon Family and was sold to the present owners in 1998, The Ridge has enjoyed a solid reputation for providing outstanding fat lambs or heavy cutting Merinos over many years. Sold to the present owners as a 38-950mm, rainfall property, recent drier seasons would suggest a 36-900mm and is a predominantly summer rainfall area. The Ridge is a gently undulating property with areas of wooded protection for livestock. The property is split by Whites Road and Beckmore Road, which divides The Ridge into roughly two equal areas of 500 acres and the northern block of 370 acres. The Ridge has been thoughtfully developed with wooded areas providing shelter for livestock. Paddock subdivision enables use of water points and controlled grazing rotations throughout the property. Noting that the park like appearance of the property has been affected by a major wind storm event and many wooded areas remain uncleared. Soil/Pasture: The strong volcanic soils are very productive and phalaris fescue, cocksfoot and clovers are evident throughout the property and growing strongly on locked up paddocks.
