program overview Hours: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 P.M. CAMP KIDACA LITE (SUMMER) 4-5 Years FEE: $124.00/ week Our most popular day camp program geared to 4 and 5 year olds without a trip. This program is designed to introduce campers to a full-day camp experience with a lower staff-to-camper ratio (1:8). Preschool campers will participate in age appropriate activities, with a focus on cooperative games, friendships, gross motor skill development, songs, circle time, stories and crafts, and outdoor water play (sprinklers and wading pools). Participants must be able to use the washroom independently and be at least 4 years old at start date of program. CAMP KIDACA (SUMMER) 6-11 Years FEE: $149.00 Our most popular day camp program! Campers will participate in a variety of age appropriate activities, including daily swimming, active games, sports, songs, cooperative games, crafts, creative time, songs, special events and a weekly trip. Staff-to-camper ratio is 1:10. includes a trip by school bus to a local attraction. TRIP LOCATIONS:, CAMP KIDACA YOUTH CAMP CAMP KIDACA (SUMMER, ULTIMATE SPORTS) 12-15 Years FEE: $149.00 CAMP KIDACA (SUMMER, CREATIVE) 12-15 Years FEE: $205.00 CAMP KIDACA (SUMMER, HEALTHY COOKING) 12-15 Years FEE: $205.00 The City of Hamilton is excited to offer youth programs at Westmount Recreation Centre. All of the youth programs allow youth to experience new challenges, and build the skills and knowledge to take on new opportunities. Each day will involve a learning component related to the skill week, swim time, and time for social activities with peers. SUPPORT PROGRAM 4-15 Years The Support Program is available for campers with disabilities or special needs who require additional support in order to integrate and participate in and Youth programs. Support staff encourage participation, while maintaining safety and care in a fun and stimulating environment! TEEN CONNECTIONS (SUMMER) 16-21 Years FEE: $149.00 Teen Connections is a summer recreation and socialization program for teens with special needs or a disability. This camp will be delivered by dedicated program staff who supervise weekly activities and assist with age-appropriate games, walking trips, sports, hobbies, social activities and swimming. support & adapted The Support Program is available for campers who require additional support in order to integrate and participate in programs. support staff encourage participation, while maintaining safety and care in a fun and stimulating environment! Support Program Options: 1. City supplied support staff are available and provided at no additional cost for families! Registration process detailed below. 2. You may provide your own support person. welcomes support persons who assist participants with a disability or special needs. Support persons are hired or chosen by the participant to provide assistance throughout the camp day. There are no fees charged for support persons (registration in the program is required). How to register for camp supplied Support Program and Teen Connections: Step One Step Two Step Three Request a Support Registration package. See contact information below. Complete the Support Registration package. Indicate preference of camp weeks and locations. Complete the Camper Information form. If camper requires epi-pen an additional form will be required. Complete Individual Accommodation Plan. Include as much information as possible. This form is to inform staff of individual camper s support needs. Complete Overview of Behaviour Management Procedure. Return ALL paperwork directly to Recreation Coordinator - Inclusion for review. Confirmation of Support staff will occur prior to camp registration. All forms MUST be completed and returned prior to confirmation of summer support staff and before registration occurs. Spaces are limited. All are encouraged to return forms to request a space as soon as possible. Due to high demand; registration is limited to a maximum of two weeks per participant (registration in the program is required after support is confirmed by Recreation Coordinator - Inclusion). camp subsidy options We believe that all residents of Hamilton should have an opportunity to experience the physical, social and emotional benefits that are provided by recreation activities, regardless of financial situation. The following subsidy options are available for! Recreation Assistance Program You MUST be a current Recreation Assistance Client. Families living below the Low-Income Cut Off (LICO) level are eligible for fee assistance. Pick up a Recreation Assistance Application form from your local recreation centre or online, for LICO levels and acceptable documentation. Assistance available for approved families; You may register your children for up to 15 days (per year), with a 65% discount You may register your children for additional weeks at full price and use your RAP amount to pay some or all of the amount (subject to a 10% co-pay) How do I register? Current approved families, that wish to purchase discounted weeks can register online or by submitting a camp registration form, with payment to your local Recreation Centre.
